Hafa gets five stars (or circles). The proprietor is a cool French guy who takes good care of his guests. Helped me out by making a few calls to get a good deal for a cab and gave us good recommendations for places to go in town. The rooms are comfortable. It's located right in the middle of things and is a few steps to the best restaurants and bars in town. Those things said, the design of the hotel is it's best feature. It has a quasi-middle eastern design, including an amazing rooftop terrace where we spent hours reading, napping, drinking complimentary tequila, and meeting the other guests. We spent hours on the roof at Hafa rather than going to a friend's suite at the more upscale resort because it was a more perfect place. It seems like it would be best for couples or small groups, although it seems like it would be kid friendly as well.

Petit Hotel Hafa was just right,,,not to big and not too small. We loved every moment from enjoying drinks on the rooftop lounge with new friends to the intimacy and charm of our guestroom. We found Sayulita and Hotel Hafa to be a new favorite destination,

Love the hafa....i have stayed in the single room twice now and its perfect for a single or couple. The room is always clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect and the sun deck on top is the perfect place to wind down the day. Not to mention you truly get ur bang for your buc.

We were two Norwegians in Sayulita for the first time looking for some good surf in the district. Christophe and the rest of the gang working at the hotel was so nice and made life very easy. The small charming hotel was very clean, felt safe and beautiful. If we ever come back to Sayulita, we will definitely stay there again.
