This was by far one of the highlights of our two weeks in France. Grignan is a wonderful city, and the hotel measures up in every way. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean, and the view of the countryside and mountains from our window was beautiful.
The real draw here, though, is the couple who owns the hotel. Pascale and Bernard are the epitome of true hospitality. We shared their dinner table, and spent several hours talking to them over a wonderful bottle of wine from their cellar, in such a peaceful, idyllic setting. We had been apprehensive about dining with the other guests since we speak very little French, but we were included in every conversation and were made to feel totally comfortable.
Our only complaint about the entire experience is that we weren't able to stay on forever.

“a little gem”
This small B and B is a find. The hosts, Pascale and Bernard, have lovingly renovated an ancient building to create an oasis. The rooms, decorated with a modern sensibility and clean lines are airy, light and spacious with very comfortable beds. Through the big shuttered windows are vistas of the surrounding countryside. Common space is very comfortable. A typical breakfast is served on the terrace - juice, excellent breads, delicious preserves, yogurt, coffee or tea - with an opportunity to interact with your hosts who can offer wonderful advice about the area and beyond. Afternoon tea by the pool is a good way to unwind after a day of exploring. Have dinner with them; delicious food and wine shared at a common table affords an opportunity to get to know your hosts and other guests.
