Positives – Central location from where the whole town of Tarascon can easily be covered by foot. Managed by a very friendly, courteous English speaking couple. Reasonably big room and bathroom with a proper bath tub.

Negatives – amenities in the room very limited – felt more like a lower end budget hotel room. Our room was noisy. We stayed there for three days, the Sunday was quiet, on the other two days at 5 am a rather loud and non stop commotion started on the street by our window rendering sleep impossible. Mediocre mattresses. The bathroom had no ventilation. Housekeeping was unimpressive; used towels not changed every day. Breakfast was pathetic. You need to pay extra for it, but all the days you are served an almost identical dull fare of very limited variety.

Altogether, not too bad a place, but quality falls well short of what the appearance and price try to project. Nevertheless, may be your only choice in Tarascon as a foreign tourist.

This hotel was one of the nicest I stayed in the South of France. The room was clean comfortable and elegantly decorated. Breakfast was wonderful. The hosts make a big effort for your stay to be enjoyable... I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is a small, charming Provencal hotel. Our room was a nice size and comfortable just off a cozy sitting area at the end of the stairs. The owners were friendly and very helpful. They recommended an excellent restaurant that served the local cuisine at a very reasonable price. They also suggested several villages to visit nearby. Overall, the hotel is a good value and is well located for touring the town and the surrounding area.

Very nice room that led onto the "terrace" where we had coffee and bread the first morning. The street is a bit ragged but not dangerous and the hotel is close to a gate into the old walled city (the hotel is actually part of the wall) which is a warren of twisting, cobbled streets. The owners were very helpful in recommending restaurants (we loved "Le Theatre") and we had a great time in Tarascon so we stayed another night. The castle is worth a visit--better than most. Yes, the beds are really comfy.
