“An amazing place to stay!!!”

Le Relais is an amazing place to stay. It is a converted farmhouse with lots of charm.
If you have a car, it's well worth it to stay here.(only 10 minutes from the town of Avignon).
The price we paid was very reasonable(about half the price of stayiing in town)
The restaurant had fantastic authentic home cooked food. The menu changed according to what was seasonally fresh. Everything is homemade and baked in house. It was so good we ate there both nights of our stay.
Very friendly and helpful hostess (Veronique). She helped plan our stay and gave us ideas of where to visit (extremely helpful). We visited the village of Les Baux . It's perched on the top of a mountain with a fantastic view. You can get lost for hours walking on the winding cobblestone streets. Here we purchased lots of typical French souvenirs such as soaps, herbs, olive oil, linens. The best selection and prices here.
We also visited a few neighbouring towns.
If you're looking to experience the true French culture of Provence, this is the place to stay.
A bientot!

“Exactly what I was looking for!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

I had this reminiscence of French cuisine and was hoping to find a not well known restaurant on the side of a highway!
That was it. Thank you for staying authentic. What a delight that was.

“"A little bit of heaven on earth!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

Staying at Le Relais de Costebelle was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to France. We were truly delighted with the charm and ambiance of the accommodations -- just as "country French" as could be! Each morning we were greeted with a basket of fresh croissants and pastries at our doorstep -- to accompany the fresh butter and homemade preserves awaiting us in the in-room fridge. The restaurant is really wonderful -- charm beyond compare and food to die for -- some of the best we of our entire trip through France! Véronique is such a lovely hostess -- quietly friendly, helpful, and attentive. We appreciated her little "American" touches like an American coffee pot in the room and real washcloths in the bath! Getting to know her and her cat "Paul" made for one of our happiest memories of France!

“Absolutely wonderful, highly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2011

The accommodations were beautiful. The restaurant serves wonderful food in a quaint setting (ate there every evening of our stay) and the hospitality was amazing. Fresh pastries delivered to your room every morning gave you the sense of staying in someone home.

If we are able to return to Provence area, we will definately stay at Relais CosteBelle again!
