There's only one thing that would have made it perfect - a fridge & microwave in the room. No complaints. friendly staff. Clean. Comfy bed. Good location.

We have never stayed in the St. Louis area before and needed a place along I-270. We chose this Comfort Inn because of it's location and reasonable price. The reception area and person at the front desk was new and had a little trouble checking us in. However, he kept apologizing and was very pleasant. In our room: The tub and toilet were new, the carpet was worn but very clean, the air conditioner put out lots of cold air but sounded like a jet plane when it went on, the 3rd floor room location was quiet, and we could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway but not in our non-smoking room. The beds and linens were excellent. The breakfast buffet was way above average in all the choices: variety of pastries, yogurt, waffle iron, variety of breads, coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruits.

I have stayed at the hotel across the street many times and like the location which is easy to the St. Louis Airport area.
This hotel is the utilitarian but clean. They provide an adequate breakfast - its the typical pastries, waffles, hardboiled eggs and apples.
The internet works well. The TV provides a wide selection of chanels.
There is a sports bar located directly next to the hotel - but be warned it caters to a "working class" crowd. The language can be rough and the ciggarette smoke thick.

Hotel lobby does not appear clean; room felt dirty. We had a king suite, and layout of room was terrible. Had couch and desk behind a half wall where you could not see TV. Television could be viewed only by laying or sitting on the bed. The dead bolt to our room would not lock. Their internet service did not allow me to open and print attachments in correct format. I had to leave hotel at 9:00 at night and go to FedEx/Kinko's to pay for computer time to print some paperwork I needed. We had planned to stay two nights, but checked out after first night, and moved to LaQuinta next door. And our room was at basement level, so when we looked out window we could see the underside of a vehicle parked outside our window. Only hot food at breakfast was from the waffle maker. Room was about $85 and was not worth it at all. Hotel did not appear to be near full, and we were told there was no other room they could put us in.
