We spent 2 nights at this motel and overall were very pleased with it. We stayed in the newer section in the back which has nice large rooms. Our mothers stayed in the older section in back and the rooms were significantly smaller but still an OK size. The rooms were much nicer on the inside (very clean, well maintained) than the outside of the building was but the outside is getting a facelift which should make it have better street appeal when it's done. Beds were comfortably firm, not hard, with full support pillows.
They've recently added a new breakfast room and now have a hot breakfast that our mothers said was very good (my wife and I did not try it ourselves since we rarely eat breakfast).
Location is great for ease of getting into the tourist section of Hannibal.
A few drawbacks that bothered us some and might cause us to consider staying elsewhere next time:
1) Not enough parking for all of the rooms they have. If they are full and you don't get there early enough in the evening you might need to park on the side street.
2) Parking spaces in the back are difficult to get into and back out of with larger vehicles. We have a Ford Explorer and it was not easy for me to manuever.
3) The only smoking rooms are in the front section facing a very busy and noisy street.
4) Traffic noise is considerable in the front section and still pretty loud in the back section. Need to keep the A/C-heater unit fan on all the time to drown out the road noise.
If road noise and tight, limited on-site parking is a concern for you, you probably should consider staying elsewhere. Otherwise, this is a good hotel value and a really nice place to stay.
