I had a two room suite for a reasonable rate. Staff was very friendly, room was clean if a little dated (the whole property could use a refresh on the design front) - I stepped back into the 80's... I was in another "wing" of the property which could not be accessed without having to leave one building into the other. Only about 20 yards, but it rained the whole time I was in St Louis so it was a pain. Food at the breakfast buffet was better than average and the wait staff was very nice. in fact the whole staff exuded "customer service".

I stayed at this property for 2 nights on business in November 2011. Check in was smooth and efficient, breakfast buffet was plentiful. I was in the far wing which is a bit of a walk, but not terrible. I have no complaints, but honestly nothing stands out either. Good business hotel for the price.

I travel to St. Louis regularly for business and kept driving by this hotel, admiring it, and thinking it was probably too expensive for my budget. About two years ago, I investigated the price and it was not much more than a standard Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. I gave it a try and have been returning ever since. The Hilton Frontenac is centrally located, on Lindbergh, right off a couple major interstates, which makes it easy to get anywhere in town with minimal hassle and time. St. Louis can have it's traffic issues before and after work, so a good location is key for a business traveller. Another positive to this hotel is the nice restaurant and breakfast. I often have breakfast meetings with customers, so the ability to walk downstairs and meet people in a pleasant setting with good food is a definate plus. If you have leisure time, the mall across the street is very upscale, with a Neiman's and a Sach's, as well as a movie theater. There are several nice restaurants there, as well, but if I'm in my hotel room working, I've taken advantage of the Hilton room service and have been pleased with the quality of the food. The staff is friendly, professional, and polite. They try to ensure you have a good experience. I would definately recommend this to a business traveller, or even a leisure traveller. The ambiance is very old-world European, so it could be a romantic trip, as well.

We reserved a room late New Year's Eve, and the hotel staff were very accommodating with our requests. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was so comfortable after a celebration.We would definitely stay there again.
