“Clean, Big Rooms, But VERY Noisy”

...about what you'd expect from a Fairfield Inn but for some reason this place was extremely noisy...the walls seem thin, the floors from above thump like crazy when walked on, and smokers going in and out of the hotel at all times of the night using the end entrance/exit was enough to drive us crazy. On a positive note: the rooms were big, clean, but in need of an update (tube vs. flat TV). The breakfast was great, the pool was clean and the hot tube was just right. We would stay here again but try to get a top level floor away from the stairs and the elevator.

Room Tip: Choose top floor mid-way down the corridor for the quietest location...

“Just OK”

We stayed on an employee discount so for the price we paid I can not complain. However, I wouldn't pay the retail price per night of $159 to save my life. I was under the impression that the hotel had been remodeled as we were advised of this when we booked the room. We stayed on the second floor and our room was not remodeled. Carpet was old, marks on the walls, stains on the shower curtain and crumbs in the drawers were a few things we noticed. The room did have a flat screen TV which was nice. The bed was pretty comfortable so no complaints there. Hotel staff was not overly friendly but weren't rude either. The indoor pool/hot tub area definitely needs updated, just looks old and worn out. The free breakfast was nice, it included Apple and Orange juice, 4 different cereals, yogurt and fruit cups, jimmy deans breakfast sandwhiches (Bacon or sausage) fruit, bagels and waffles made on the spot by a hotel employee. Definitely good for free! All in all, the hotel was decent for what we paid but I would never pay more than the employee rate to stay there. I hope they are in fact remodeling because it could use the updates.

“Enjoyed our stay!”

We stayed at this Fairfield Inn during our trip to the World Series Game 7. We watched the end of Game 6 with on a nice large high definition TV. The internet was easily accessible. The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. It was within a five minute drive to a large mall and restaurants. Convenient to the interstate that leads to downtown Saint Louis and attractions. We enjoyed our stay at the Fenton Fairfield Inn!

“Decent hotel, isolated location”

Our daughter's softball team chose this hotel for the good group rate. As it turned out, the Cardinals were playing in the World Series in town that weekend. It was kind of fun being in the city and see the excitement. Every resident was talking about the games.

As Fairfield Inns go, this is a good one. The place was mostly clean although we found hairs in the shower. The TV remote didn't work, but the front desk was immediately responsive and fixed the issue. The maid was very pregnant so we told her to just bring towels and skip the rest. The breakfast bar was always well-stocked. There was no microwave or mini-frig in the room. The staff were very pleasant. Overall a good stay with just a few issues.

The problem with this site is the location. It's located in a business park, surrounded by warehouses and office buildings. You will have to drive or take a cab to get to any shopping or restaurants. Even getting to the hotel involves a circular route and you will think you are getting lost, but then there it is. Trust your GPS; it will get you there. It is so isolated you won't have to worry about any noise from the surrounding area. If your looking for quiet, in an urban area, you'll love this place.

“Okay but customer service lacking and bad location”

Hotel is clean and cheap but location is a $30 cab ride to town. Customer Service was non existant thought. Once, we went down to the front desk to get a phone book because there wasn't one in the room and I wanted to order some food. Ask the lady at the front desk for a phone book or any recommendations and she didn't say a word and handed me a piece of paper with a few pizza joints on it and walked away, okay no big deal I like pizza. Later I called the front desk and ask them to call me a cab like its says they will in their hotel guide and like every hotel in the world does because once again no phone book in the room. The response I got at the desk was, " I won't call one for you but I will give you the number of one" , Okay except the number they gave me was incorrect and then the frontdesk didn't pick up the phone. None of this is a big deal and maybe it is just this one lady on nightshift but they need to work on their customer service. Do they not realize we are not from there and maybe we need some advice?

Room Tip: get closer to town if you want to get a cab
