stayed 9 nights. unfortunately there's no on site restaurant or bar, which for the amount of time we were there, we could have used. there isn't much around the hotel. the hotel is surrounded by industrial parks and doesn't offer room service. there is however a service that will deliver from a half dozen restaurants. that however wasn't hassle free. they frequently forgot utensils and add ons, like 'chicken' with the salad. others had the same problems. a call to the service resolved little.

the staff was nice enough, but it is bare bones. i questioned the cleanliness near the community computer. it could use a disinfecting. aretha and jayson who served us breakfast were terrific.

Stayed one night. Rooms were clean and have wonderful comfy beds. I'm picky about pillows and these were perfect. The lobby is nice. Breakfast is a buffet for $10. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It took about 20 - 30 minutes to get to downtown St Louis. Tried to use the one computer in their business center and could not get on the internet, really, really slow.

Pros and cons exist with every hotel. Here they are for this one:
Pros:
friendly staff who accommodated us with our requested extra pillows and gave us a beer bottle opener to use throughout our stay from their lounge.
gave us mayo we needed to make sandwiches in our room from their hotel restaurant for free.
safe location 6 miles from downtown near malls, grocery stores, strip malls for all the essentials we forgot to pack. no incessant sirens that you get when you stay downtown.
close to the attractions for out of town visitors
1 mile from the nearest starbucks.
Cons:
the doors are super heavy and people just let them go so they sound like slamming doors. so glad i had ear plugs!
the a/c was sooo loud, again, glad about the ear plugs but it was nice to set the temp at the exact degree we wanted.
no fridge. we planned to make sandwiches for 2 lunches and brought our own organic milk thinking we could keep all those fixings in the fridge. they didnt have one which left us using our cooler with ice.
no microwave in the room but there was one in the lobby.
no on floor vending machines but there was a lot of snacks in the lobby to choose from including microwave meals, but as hotels do, very pricey.

Overall nice stay. If you want a balcony do no stay on the ground floor. It was just ivy outside and the door only opened one inch. Clean and updated. Would recommend if you bring ear plugs.
Nice pool/hot tub for the kids to play

We live less than two hours away and when we want to visit St. Louis for the weekend, several times a year, we always stay at this hotel. For the money, it's the best bargain in St. Louis. You're close to the historic St. Charles downtown, close to the Funny Bone and great places to eat at Westport and yet only a short drive into the city. This hotel has the cleanest pool of any hotel we've stayed. I enjoy an early morning swim every time and the warm indoor pool and whirlpool is in a beautiful glassed in atrium. You will not be disappointed in a stay here.
