This older motel is under renovation but offers good rooms and an excellent gym facility. Bathrooms are very large and spacious and the beds and pillows offered are soft and comfortable. The indoor pool exhibited a beautiful setting but was a bit cool for the swim. The staff was friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast and snacks that were provided for the conference were tasty. Being a guest in the winter, I noticed that the old air conditioner/heating unit located on ground level under the windows allowed cold air to enter. The rooms were comfortably heated, but a draft was present. The mall and numerous restaurants are located within walking distance. This was an enjoyable stay for the conference.

There are a lot of good hotels in Columbia, Mo. This is a busy town with a booming hotel business because it is centrally located in the state and the University of Missouri brings in a lot of business too. This hotel is located right across the street from the mall, and a variety of other stores. There are plenty of fast food places to eat and a brand new Texas Roadhouse Restaurant was just built across the street. Very accomodating staff at check in. Rooms newly decorated, beautiful carpet in the hallways, elevators fast. You don't need to bring any extra pillows as there are about 7 or more on each bed. We had a continental breakfast in one of the conference rooms. Fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls and other rolls and muffins were provided. Water was super hot for tea. The conference room was cool but not freezing as they sometimes are.
I will be calling them later today to check on the status of my pillow that I left behind. I hope they can send it to me!!

We stay at this hotel because of our track and field and cross coaches clinic and business meeting. We get a good rate because of the clinic and all the meetings are on site so that makes it very convenient. The sports bar is a good place to meet up with colleagues in between sessions and later in the evening. Rooms are pretty basic Holiday Inn style although I smelled fresh paint last weekend.

Great hotel. Large lobby with lots of places to sit and talk. Right across the street from Barnes and Noble. Comfortable beds with thick mattresses and lots of fluffy pillows. Restaurant is a sports bar and restaurant with huge big screen TV. They were in the process of putting new wallpaper in the hallway on the 6th floor but it was not inconvenient. Nobody was working on the weekend to disturb you.
