While traveling cross-country with a toddler, four dogs and a cat, we were very lucky to find pet-friendly places to stay. This was easily one of our luckiest finds! The room was kind of quirky in the way it was set up, but it had a fully stocked kitchenette and probably was arranged to accommodate that. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a large grassy area out back to walk the dogs in, and they even provided poop bags to clean up after them. There is a gazebo with picnic tables and two barbecues, but we didn't use it since there was a group already in it. They have a free washer and dryer with a dispenser to buy laundry products. Self-service packaged foods are available 24 hours, on the honor system (write your items on the slip and drop in the box). the desk clerk, a really pleasant young man, was a dog lover and stopped by our room as he went off duty, just to meet our pets. His relief, also a nice young man, was very helpful with advice on where to park our large truck & tow dolly. This would definitely be a good place to stay either overnight or longer, if one wanted to save money by getting food at the nearby grocery store and cooking in.

We stayed here only one night in July. Arrived on a rainy night and the lobby area is quite small and uninspiring. But the girl behind the counter was nice. The decor is pretty much standard hotel fare and is pretty uninteresting. But, the rooms were nice. Fairly good size. All rooms have the kitchenette and was very clean. The bathroom was plenty big enough for two of us to use and the shower had plenty of hot water. The beds were really comfortable, i actually slept better than i do in my own bed. We would stay there again.

We recently stayed at this Candlewood Suites for one night, with our dog in tow. The hotel was clean, easy to get to, and the staff was very friendly. Room was clean with a bit of an antiseptic smell but that's okay. My only complaint was the sheets were itchy to me but not my wife.

I recently wrapped up a 2 1/2 stay at the Candlewood Suites in Columbia, MO and I have to say that it is the best there is in town. I am a traveling healthcare worker, so it is very important to have a quiet, clean & confortable place to stay while I am on assignment. I saw some of the negative reviews but to be honest, they must have stayed at a different hotel. I am scheduled to return again in the new year and will insist that I stay here again.
