After reading previous reviews of this hotel, I'm scared to see what other people find as "clean." Immediately after walking into the room we noticed a few oddities. One - someone had clearly been in the bathroom not too earlier as the soap had been unwrapped and the sink was still wet. Secondly, we were suppose to have a non-smoking room - it wreaked of cigarette smoke. The shower was atrocious, mildew city on the shower curtain. I refused to shower that night. This hotel was absolutely horrible. I would have rather slept in the car.

We are never disappointed with a Candlewood Suites. Some are newer than others, but they always provide SUPER comfy beds & linens. This location did not disappoint.

A stocked kitchen for those who like to cook, a recliner, free laundry for guests, and spacious desk area with free internet are the "homey" touches that endear Candlewood to us.

Since we travel for our jobs, and stay in motels 350+ days a year, we have our basic needs with us, but really have grown tired of crappy beds & linens. At a Candlewood, you feel like you are home. Like they say ..."unpack. and settle in" That's exactly what we do.

First of all this hotel may be part of the Holiday Inn group, but it did lack alot of just the common things. We stayed here with a group and were really disappointed. They do not have a restaurant, but just a small convenience type of store that you can purchase food to cook. The rooms have a small kitchen with refrigerator, dish washer, stove and sink and mircrowave..
When we got there we should have had at least 3 rooms left on our block of rooms and they were to be all together on the same floor, as we had a group of 13-14 year old girls. They only had 2 rooms left on the floor, so being a grandparent I gave our room up to another girl so she could be with her team. The minute we walked into our non-smoking room all we could smell was stale cigarette smoke. I have health issues and cannot be in a room like that, so I went looking for the housekeeper. She came in and sprayed the room, which did not seem to work. She noticed that there were no paper towels or coffee in the room, so she went to get these items. There was no coffee pot for the coffee maker. She thought for a moment and then said "Oh, it is still in the dishwasher, if you want you can unload the dishes". Excuse me, why would I want to unload the dishwasher from someone elses stay that evidently she did not want to do herself.
The room was fairly large and seemed clean, but when we looked out the window the weeds and woods were only about 30 foot from our window. I do not know if the windows opened or not, as I did not try, but here we were with 13-14 year old girls..
My daughter's room had the same smell and when our granddaughter went in to take a shower, she came back and announced there is no way she was getting into that tub to take a shower. The tub had rings around it like someone had taken a bath that was very dirty. My daughter and the two girls did not take a shower all weekend because of the dirty tub. I wish I had known about that, as our tub was very clean.
Another lady came and asked us if we had shampoo and soap. Her room had a half a bottle of shampoo and no soap.
Several other people complained about their rooms smelling also.
This hotel in not convenient to get to as you have to get off Interstateand weave through other hotels and go through a parking lot of another hotel to get to this one.
The front desk staff was very friendly and when I called to ask about my daughter's glasses the young lady at the desk was very responsive and knew immediately that her glasses were left on the ledge at the desk.

Somewhere in between. An older Candlewood Suites that is showing wear and tear. It was OK at best, served the purpose but didn't inspire any regard
