I've stayed at numerous Hampton Inns and they're almost always well staffed and a good value; This one works harder to be exceptional; I stayed there a number of times in '06 and "07 while buying property nearby and these folks go-the-extra-mile to please their guests.I've reccommended it to other travelers recently who agreed the friendliness,
cleanliness, great comp. breakfast and freshly baked choc. chip cookies at night make it the optimum choice in the area .
TIPS: 1/4 mile away the Strike Zone Bowling Alley (surprisingly) has the best Burgers and cheesecake in the area.(And great cocktails and people) Also, the Mexican restaurant just 200yds. north (El Camino Real ) makes the best ChilesRellenos north of the border.

Rooms clean, beds extremely comfortable, friendly service

Clinton is a small town that is not exactly a major destination for most. That is why it was so surprising to find a quality chain hotel there on our last trip.

As a younger hotel, the facilities were in excellent condition. The bed and business desk were like new and comfortable, and the room was very clean and odorless with plenty of space to stretch. The stylish bathroom was immaculate and spacious with all the normal amenities. Although lacking a tub for the leisurely bather, the shower was roomy and spotless with abundant pressure and hot water. The heat/ac control was accurate and simple - just set the temp and leave it. The free hi-speed internet was appreciated, especially because it proved to be very reliable.

The only things missing that would have made the room nearly perfect were a microwave and/or fridge. We love our late night popcorn.

The extended continental breakfast included a couple of hot items each morning including neat little omelets, spiced scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and batter for self-made waffles during our short stay. The quality was more than adequate for a free hotel breakfast. The dining area - an extension of the lobby - was comfortable and clean, but might have been cramped during high season.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We were especially impressed with the woman handling the breakfast who did an admirable job of keeping things hot, stocked, and clean, and with a genuinely pleasant smile all the while.

Overall, this was a very commendable lodging experience that may have been just a tad overpriced for the small town market. We would not hesitate to stay there for our next visit.

We don't usually stay in chain hotels but this one was obviously newer and quite clean. Breakfast was hot and had nutritious options as well. Good base of operations for Katy Trail.
