I stayed for one week at the Chesterfield Drury for a corporate training program. My room was nicely sized, very clean, and very comfortable. The hotel offered a decent breakfast and a limited happy hour (with food) every night. The modern amenities were great- plenty of outlets in my room for electronic devices, good quality TV, central air/heating that was so quiet it was un-noticeable and kept the room temp very comfortable, excellent free Wifi! The hotel is a short walk to a large mall with several large chain restaurants i.e. Houlihans, Cheesecake Factory and a food court. My only complaints with the hotel were...
1. There is really no restaurant, you get what they offer at no charge, but there are no other options within the hotel. This is true for the "Happy Hour" as well.
2. The distance from the city proper is 25 miles and there is no option for inexpensive transportation i.e. shuttle or metro system. It's a $40 taxi ride each way- so if you want to see some sights in St. Louis, be prepared for the cost.
3. There was also no shuttle service from the airport- again a $35-40 ride each way.
Overall my stay itself was lovely and I was very comfortable, however I was disappointed by the limited ability to explore outside of the immediate area around the hotel if one didn't have their own transportation. Great place to stay for those who have business at the Chesterfield Drury, wouldn't really recommend for the social or tourist traveler.
