It was nice to have a hotel that was all-over clean, after reading about so many other hotels (around this price range) in Joplin/Carthage area having bed bugs and dirty bathrooms.

The hotel is kind of (understatement) outdated, but the rooms are large and clean. The bathroom shower head needed replaced, but hot water was plentiful and the toilet flushed :)

The bed (we had a king) was very comfortable and the sheets were clean, as well as all the pillows. We had one large big-screen console TV in the room that I guess didn't work, because the remote turned on the small flat-screen tv on the chest of drawers, whose picture was a little fuzzy.

The room came with a desk/light and a (red velvet) couch, as well as vanity separate from bath. Half the walls were dark brick as well as the bathroom door being dark wood.

We spent $48.99/night on this room. I chose this place because of the good reviews I read on trip advisor. And for the price, I would definitely stay there again! I have stayed in hotels that cost a lot more that were NOT near as comfortable.

But as for the "continental breakfast", there isn't one. A box of donuts, a toaster, a loaf of bread and jelly packets don't cut it for me :)
