“Enter at your own Risk, IF you DARE...ITs awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2010

I stayed in St Louis for 8 mnths in various hotels with a sick family member to be close to the hospital and have stayed in Super 8's all across the country, I can honestly say this is the WORST hotel I have ever been in, It was late when we checked in and under 30 degrees outside, The front desk said our credit card was declined, BUT to try it at the atm and pay cash. well it worked there with a $2.00 charge of course, the man at the front desk was RUDE, and you pretty much had to guess what he was saying, he could barely speak any understandable ENGLISH? then we walk down the hall and the room is tiny,no heat on in the room at all. so we had to turn the heat on and leave in order for the room to heat up. and when we got back the heat was off again....it was not set to go off , but was off, no remote for tv and bathroom sink is broken, the doorknob to the bathroom was too small for the hole, and if you were in there you could see out the hole to the room, and the room into the bathroom. The shower ONLY had HOT water, no cold water at all in there. we went to bed that night, and slept very little as we kept hearing ppl in the hall, and even banging on our door to our room, there was a very strong Marijuana odor in the hallway , I washed my hair in the sink in the bathroom to have warm water, and there were 4 of us and we left there with bites all over our upper body...The beds looked clean just worn sheets and blankets, but I would not sleep there ever again.
and would not reccomend to anyone. and if you need more towels or anything be prepared to go get it yourself, and argue over why you need them..its ridiculous

“One Of The Worst Super 8's I've Stayed In”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2009

We drove in from a football game in Columbia, MO and needed a hotel near the St. Louis airport in order to catch an early morning flight.

Our first impression was the look of the lobby from the outside. We thought it couldn't be the lobby since it had a strange red ATM sign in the window. We thought it must have been a restaurant or a bar

Then we encountered the desk manager (maybe the owner?). He appeared to be Middle Eastern and barely spoke English. He had a sour personality and absolutely no sense of customer service.

On the way to our room, we encountered four men who were out in the hall using their cell phones, talking loudly in Spanish at 1:30 a.m. in the morning. I heard "marijuana" several times as we passed by them. Several of the doors near our room were propped open slightly. The whole atmosphere was creepy.

Our room was substandard. We had spent the previous night in a Super 8 in Columbia, MO. The one in Bridgeton compared VERY POORLY with the one in Columbia. The furniture was old, the bedding was thread bare, the bathroom floor was a fake, ugly-looking vinyl tile. The bathroom door hinges squeaked badly. The room just looked tired and old.

It took some time to get to sleep because we kept hearing loud steps in the room above us -- at 2:00 a.m. in the morning.

If you need to stay in a hotel to catch an early morning flight at the St. Louis airport, stay in a Motel 6. You'll pay less and you'll have better accommodations.

“very very scary place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2009

I put a group here for a softball tournament. Had it not been so late, I would've moved them right out of there that evening. For starters: unsafe door locks (our door jam looked liked it had been kicked in), stained sheets with cigarrete holes, ants around air conditioner box, windows without screens, Marijuana smelling stair case, no working air conditioning, Stains on carpet, No remote for TV in some rooms, and the "continental breakfast" consisted of corn flakes that were left over from the night before.

“It's not the Ritz, but it is comfortable and convenient.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2009

I read the reviews before staying there. I had my concerns. I could put up with anyplace for 4 nights. It is an older Super 8, but the owners are bit by bit upgrading it. My room was very clean, and comfortable. All rooms have Wi-Fi, and 2 HBO channels. Front desk was extremely polite and helpful. All rooms have an interior entrance. What I loved was the convenience. It was a short drive to North Hanley Rd. Metrolink - with free parking. Short distance to Harrah's and Ameristar (St. Charles). Lots of restaurants and fast food places south on St. Charles Rock Rd. (e.g. Olive Garden, Bob Evans, Ponderosa, Homestyle Buffet, and Golden Corral (St. Charles). I would stay here again. No problem. Only complaint I had was that there were only three outlets in the room. And, only one available plug-in. I had to choose between coffee and computer.

“Keep Driving”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 March 2008

My daughter and I were extremely disappointed in our stay. Where to begin--FIrst, I was concerned for our safety, because the side door security locks did not work, so anybody could walk into the hallways during the day or night. The hallways smelled smoky, even in the non-smoking halls. The room carpet was filthy and loose on the floors. The blankets on the bed were thin enough to see through--literally.

We received no housekeeping service at all, one day (no towels; nothing!), and when I called to complain, the front desk said they couldn't bring me any, and I had to go there to get fresh towels. It was only by insisting that I got TWO towels. The night manager only wanted to give me one.
