“Won't go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

They have recently changed owners & the cleanliness & courteous service left as well. We have stayed at this motel, in the same room, every year for 6 years, which we again requested 6 months before our arrival. When we arrived, we were told that this room was not available & given a smaller room, which we were told would be at a cheaper rate. At checkout time, however, an attempt was made to charge us the higher rate & only after my refusal, did I get the lower rate from a very unfriendly clerk. Also, the bottom of the stool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time & the bathroom floor was sticky. When we pointed this out to the clerk, again, she acted very disgusted with us,& said, "I'll tell someone", which never happened while we were there. Needless to say, we spent part of our trip this time, looking for another motel, & found a much cleaner & friendlier place to stay when we come back at Christmas. With so many motel choices in Branson, there is no need to have to tolerate rudeness & a lack of concern for guests.

Room Tip: don't bother requesting a certain room because I don't think it matters here.

“Great Value! Great Stay!”

New Management made all the difference with our stay! Hotel is in a great location to the strip and attractions. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Continental breakfast was just what we needed to help us with our vacation budget. Staff was right there when we needed them when we were looking for discount tickets to the shows! They helped us save a ton of money!! Kudos to the new management for making a big difference in the hotel and our stay compared to previous ones. We will definitely stay with them again in the future. With all of the choices for lodging in Branson it's nice to know that I made the right choice in sticking with the Econo Lodge! I highly recommend staying there!

“Read Reviews but decided since it was under different managemanet ******”

Too long of a story to tell, but basically was given room other than the one reserved and then had hard time getting compensation back for lesser room quality. Experienced a 2 day run around with staff to get any satisfaction. Upon moment of checkout I was finally given some compensation back.

Bed was hard which after 5 hours I would be up due to back problems. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast was decent.
Chairs were older and we had to use a pillow in the seat to be able to sit in them.

The room was just not comfortable due to the furnishings. The Motel is in a good location, the grounds were well kept and their booking system seems to have a major problem with giving you what you paid for.

Just my honest opinion, hope others can have better experience in the future as the Branson area is a good place to vacation.

Room Tip: Room reserved, is not guaranteed per my conversation with staff. Was given a different room and had...

Travelnmoma,

I want to appoligize on behalf of the Econo Lodge for the bad experience you encountered at our hotel. As of the 18th of August this hotel is under new management and we are working to address all of your concerns with the rooms and our linen. I hope if you are in Branson you will give the Econo Lodge a second chance to earn you business.

“Hostile Staff: A Nightmare”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

One of the owners was at the front desk when I got there, and he was beyond rude-he was hostile. I would have left, but a nice lady that worked there made me think it might still be ok. The room was tiny, like a prison cell. It was clean but old, & the tub had something chipping off the bottom of it. The bed was the worst I've ever slept on. I would get my dog a better bed to sleep on than that. So uncomfortable-you could feel the metal coils. In vending everything was melted. The hot tub was drained & filthy. The pool was tiny, but clean. The free breakfast was canned mixed fruit, donuts from a box, frozen waffles. It was food-barely. Next day a new lady was there, and she was hostile as well. Apparently, they are having leadership issues, and the unprofessionalism was revolting. The only professional was a teenage girl that worked there, who checked us out when we left--4 days early. We had even paid for another night, but I couldn't take another minute there. It was an atrocity. This is a bad bed, bad food, a roof, a tv, and a hostile person taking your money. If that's all you need in a hotel, then this is the place for you. Good: Pretty clean, the internet worked, the pool was adequate.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

As of August 18, 2011 we are currently under new management, here at the EconoLodge Branson. My sincerest apology for the way that previous management/ownership of this hotel has treated you. It is our goal to fix the customer service issues, along with the maintenance and upkeep of the property. I do hope that if you are in the Branson area again you will give us another opportunity to provide excellent customer service that you deserve.
