“Outdated and Loud”

My family stayed in a 2-bedroom condo. The larger side (side B) is spacious, but the smaller unit is small. The decor is outdated and the dark (dark green and navy blue). The condo was very dusty and not well kept. The ceiling fans and window coverings need cleaning. The kitchen utensils were also outdated and looked like they have had better days, The tv's were also outdated (no flat screen). We were on the top floor, but the walls were so thin, it appeared that the neighbors were walking above us, The walls are paper thin.
The grounds were clean and the indoor poor area appeared to be clean (we did not use it), The check-in went well, but stay away from the timeshare sales, if offered, As usual, they get upset if you don't purchase.
Overall, the location is good (away from the main highway and traffic), and has a nice view, but the resort could use a make over and a complete update (gut out everything and start over with vibrant colors and deep cleaning). As for the noise, I guess there is no remedy for that.

“Good weekend away.”

We had a spacious 2- bedroom condo. This was our first time staying here. There isn't an elevator to help with hauling luggage and groceries, but getting to the third floor wasn't bad with 2 kids. You basically entered on the 2nd level. We were hoping to be closer to our friends that were staying there, but they were completely booked already. The walls are pretty thin but the bathroom layouts are great.

The furnishings are a bit cheesy, but at least it's some decor. The mini-golf is fun to play all day and night. The indoor pool was a bit cool for December, but the kids made the best of their 10 minutes in it before jumping in the hot tub outside, which was more comfortable to swim in. There are grills, shuffle board, and horse shoes to assist with passing time and saving on money. We would like to go back in the summer to see how the town is different and what more is offered.

“Convient but Loud”

We are Bluegreen owners. I liked this resort except for the paper thin walls and cheesy furnishings. Everything was comfortable and clean.

“Only "So-So" for Bluegreen Falls Village”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

While our two bedroom unit was one of the largest that we have stayed in during our years with Bluegreen, this unit has paper thin walls and the ceiling-floor was so noisy that the guests above us with a couple of 5-6 year-old children sounded like of herd of antelope bounding across the floor and constantly banging chairs on the floor...a sonic nightmare. Also, as an owner, I can hardly condone the poor maintenance, mostly bad caulk in bathrooms allowing water behind tiles and baseboards. And last, but not least, they actually charge you for wireless internet in the units. Motel 6 and Best Western (and most other chains) throw in the wireless along with the hot running water and towels. Bluegreen is not keeping up with the times nor keeping up with their reputation.

Room Tip: You get little or no choice with points reservations with Bluegreen - you take what you get based on...

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

This is the third time we stayed at Falls Village and it will be the last. I was so pleased the first two times, then there was this trip. All three times, we stayed in a studio. What you should know upfront is that there are two versions of studio rooms. One is a great room, with a King Bed, couch, small dining area, stove top, fairly good sized kitchen, large TV, and easy access to a laundry right outside the door.

The other studio is a small, dinky room with a full size bed, a super small microwave that barely fits anything, a small tv, and that is about it. We have to call in advance to ask for access to a laundry, which means we have to haul our clothes all over the complex. If we want to cook, we have to go up to the clubhouse and use their kitchen. Since we were planning on saving money by cooking most of the meals for the week, it is even more disappointing. The time we will waste running up to the clubhouse any time we need to heat something up is a great way to ruin a meal.

I am so disappointed in this studio. We reserved a year in advance and this is the best they could come up with? We were considering taking the timeshare tour, but I would NEVER purchase one from here knowing we could be stuck in a horrible room like the tiny studio.

If you want a studio, run in the other direction.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for the larger studio or go for a one bedroom.
