We booked 5 adults in 2 rooms adjoining on an Interval Exchange. Our request for ground level units were supplied. We'd check out the reviews and were hesitant, but had no other options since we had booked for these specific times. We arrived and were initially quite pleased, and remained to thru out our 6 night stay. The staff was kind and considerate, and cordial even though we declined their normal invitation to find out more about the property, etc, etc, in exchange for show tickets or cash. We've spent too much time at these things over the years. We own Wyndham points thru 3 different properties and have enough challenges using the points/weeks we already have. For your info - we stayed in Building #12. There appears of be 5 or 6 buildings like this one, maybe 2-3 years old max, 5 stories each, with many units on each floor. We'd try to go back here if we wanted to go to Branson again, even though we own points at Wyndom Branson's property.

To begin with I will say that I travel to Branson at least twice a year; I've been going since I was very young and I'm very familiar with the place. My experience with Grand Crowne began when they randomly started calling my father telling him that we could rent a condo for however many nights with an extra visit for free and all these other fantastic amenities for a low lump sum. My father fell for their sham and asked me to talk to them and I was a little weary about the whole ordeal because it sounded like somebody just wanted to get his credit card info. When I asked them how they got his number they gave me explanations I know isn't true because my father doesn't even know how to turn on a computer, let alone sign up for something like this. For some reason, they talked me into doing all this. We wrote them a check for the amount for a CONDO. When we got to the resort we found out it was merely the SURREY INN---which is a complete disaster all on its own. It was unkempt and they didn't even offer wi-fi to us. They lied to us many times and made crappy situations seem luxurious. We have an extra visit and I don't think we will even use it. The Grand Crowne staff is very difficult; I would call to set things up or ask a question and I would get re-directed and given other phone numbers to call probably 3 times before I talked to someone (each person more rude than the last) who was hardly any help. I have been told I would be re-directed to someone who could help and been hung up on instead. What kind of customer service is that? In a nutshell....Grand Crowne Resorts is a load of bs and will make you want to shove bamboo splints under your cuticles before the experience is over. Surrey Inn is just gross and if you value good hygiene....I would avoid it.

This motel certainly DID NOT meet our expectations. The rooms were small and outdated with cracks and stains on the ceiling. There is no in-room WiFi. The staff was rude at breakfast. One staff member actually yelled out for people to leave when they finished eating. When my husband thanked one of the staff for breakfast, she actually GRUNTED at him!! We were traveling with our three young children and called the front desk for an extra blanket, we were told that they didn't have extra blankets!! Please consider other hotels in the area. There are many other options.

Seriously, there are so many other places to stay in Branson don't even think about staying here. The front desk staff was friendly enough, but only provided lip service. There is no WiFi in the rooms. REALLY??? It's 2010!!! The rooms are very small for a family of four--the beds are too close together, not enough room for luggage or for hanging clothes. The furniture was scratched and worn, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the walls were pretty banged up. Now to the really important stuff.....the bathroom floor was dirty and after showering, a horrible smell seemed to come up from the bathtub drain. The towels and wash cloths were thin, small, and felt like sandpaper. The TV set was a 19 inch tube TV that got very poor reception (channels were fuzzy). However, the worst thing was the air conditioner did not work properly. We kept it turned on full blast the first night and at best it only cooled the room to about 78 degrees. The next morning we stopped by the front desk and asked if it could be repaired while we were out for the day and they said it would be taken care of. When we returned that evening, hot and exhausted from a day outdoors, it had not been fixed as promised. We were so tired and it was late so we didn't ask for another room, hoping it would cool off. You can only imagine how hot it was in the room after a couple of people used a hair dryer on their hair! (Oh yeah, when we called the front desk and asked about the poor reception on the TV, all the person had to say was that the maintenance man was off for the day.) As we left on our final day, we stopped by the office to let them know that the air conditioner was not repaired after we made the request and the TV never reception was extremely poor. The repsponse.....? "I'm sorry." Seriously, there are many, many hotel rooms in Branson to choose from. Stay somewhere else.
