The staff was super friendly, they catered to our 21 family member reunion and went out of there way to meet our other than ordinary needs. The cabins were well equiped, the sites for our two campers were level and shadded. They escorted us to sites and assisted in spotting our travel trailers. Bath houses were always clean. The campground had three beautiful pools which were enjoied by all. Our familys ages were 3 to 65 and the campground and destination proved to be perfect. I can't say anything negative about this great place. My wife's family had a family reunion here and the staff help make it a really great time. The people and staff were great and always want to help. And all the good things written by people that have stayed here is true. So if you want a great place to stay, this is it. Have fun.!!!!!!!

Looks like the folks that like Compton Ridge never experienced it when it was owned by the Sims. . . In past years we would drive a van full to Silver Dollar City. Those that wanted to leave early could catch the Shuttle the Sims ran. But not the last time. We tried to get on and the driver said, "I didn't drive you over here, you can't ride back." That's what I call service!

It's still a beautiful place with nice facilities. But across the street, they treat you well. We would go to the SDC campground store and were treated like long lost relatives. A lot of places have nice facilities, but not all have friendly service. Compton Ridge has lost the family touch. It breaks my heart, but we won't be going back. . .

Very clean, lots of activities. Nice store with staples, also has a very good little cafe with breakfast and dinner if you decide not to cook. Clean and nice indoor pool and also an outdoor pool with a playground and "swirly" slide as our daughter called it. We had the best time! You wouldn't even need to leave the campground to have fun, but if you like its VERY close to silver dollar city and they will even take you there and come back and pick you up. Very friendly staff as well. We can't wait to go back! We also had wifi with a great signal.
