After reading the reviews I felt reasonably comfortable booking this hotel. We usually stay at the Comfort Suites but they were closed being off-season. Basically this was your average hotel with some small issues. Over the phone I was offered the "Shopping Rate" of $54.99 but when my confirmation arrived they raised the price to $59.99. At check-in the front desk manager (very nice young woman) corrected this mistake immediately. Also, over the phone we were told this hotel had the same ammenities as its sister properties but that isn't the case.
We really enjoy a sauna and were very disappointed to find out they do not have one at this location. The pool temp is also advertised at the front desk as 83 degrees....well I know the pool area was recently worked on so maybe their temp isn't quite up to what it should be but it is not anything near 83 degrees and neither is the whole pool area that temp. The room itself was tight with two SMALL (more like doubles) queens. I did not sleep well as I found the bed uncomfortable. The biggest issue were the long hairs I found in the tub when I went to shower the next morning. GROSS, housekeeping needs to double check their work. I guess one wouldn't be so bad but two in the tub and a few on the bath floor were unacceptable. There was also a slight issue with breakfast. The first day we were informed by the kitchen lady (very nice, both of them) that both the pancake and juice machines were not working. Not that I expect a lot from hotel breakfasts but if this is one of the main items you offer then no matter how many people are in the hotel (off season or not) it should be in working condition. We did forget a few items at home (comb, toothbrush, etc.) and they did provide that to us. All in all, not a bad stay but they have their issues.
