I recently stayed here on business for 5 nights. It was my first time at this particular property and although the building is showing it's age, the service I received was absolutely outstanding. I checked in late, at aroung 1:30 in the morning. Finding the place wasn't as difficult as some of the reviews said. one stated that you had to turn into shoney's and drive around, NOT TRUE! This hotel is located in the back of 2 other hotels, there is a sign that directs you to the Hampton. The parking lot was well lit and when I entered the foyer, the double doors that lead to the reception area were locked, the young lady had to open the door from the inside, which made me feel more secure as well as noticing that there were numerous security cameras in the parking lot, reception area, and the hallway. The young lady that checked me in was so sweet. She had the brightest smile and made me feel as though I were an old friend as we chatted while she checked me in. When I got to my room, I found it to be clean and fresh. The bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it home! I mentioned to the clerk that I hate that I was going to miss breakfast because I had to leave early each morning, but when I came down at 5 that morning, she had breakfast set up for me. She had told me that the breakfast times were 6 am to 10 am. Although Hampton offers Breakfast-to-go bags, I prefered the hot breakfast. I tell y'all, the aging of the building means nothing to the service that you will get here. Every single person that I came in contact seemed to go out of their way when it came to their guests!

We stayed at this property for only one night, but found it clean and pleasant. Everyone was nice and seemed helpful. The location is not near many restaurants that we liked but there are several places to eat a short drive away.

For a short visit, we would stay here again.

I checked in late and left first thing in the morning, so it was a short stay and thus a brief review follows. The hotel is just off Highway 468 (near the I-20 exit) and behind a Shoney's Restaurant so it's buffered from the highway noise. Nothing fancy about the property but I found it to be clean and quiet. I did notice several security cameras in the interior hallways. There are several restaurants within a reasonable walking distance although you have to cross a road or two to get to some of them. The room had a 32" or so flat screen TV with lots of cable channels but none in high definition. There was free Wi Fi with a log in code provided on the envelope that holds your room key. The morning breakfast was consistent with Hampton Inn standards. A free shuttle takes guests to the airport every 45 minutes starting at 5 a.m.

I read some of the reviews about this hotel and to be honest I was a little scared to book our rooms there. I like to stay at the Hampton because they have free internet and a good breakfest. Well I had no reason to worry the hotel was clean, people were nice and the rooms were spacious. The hotel is a little old but for the price (74/night) you cant beat it. The room was clean and bigger than some I have stayed at. The hotel was easy to find and located in a good place so I dont understand why some reviews said it was in a awfull spot and hard to get to??? I stayed with my wife and 2 kids in a double room and it was fine. If you need a place to stay in Jackson this hotel will do just fine.
