So I'm driving to New Orleans just before New Year's & decide to stay in this location overnite. Bad Idea. I've had pretty good experiences at other Day's Inn's all over America for the economical price. This place was filthy.
I walked into the bathroom & my shoes actually stuck to the floor (like at a movie theatre w/dried soda pop.) Taking a shower in there seemed like a risky proposition so I decided to just skip it until I got to my destination the following day.
Even just sitting on the mattress top bedspread left some type of oily residue on my hands. I washed my hands, but this was a room you just can't feel comfortable in. There were hairs on the pillow from the last people, but I just picked them off so this was the least scary part of the stay.
The air conditioner had a layer of dirt on the directional trays...not dust...but an actual substance that was sandy in texture. I wasn't brave enough to walk on the carpet w/out shoes.
Now I wish I would have ponied up a few more dollars for any one of several adjacent properties in Pascagola. I doubt they could have been any worse.
