“Pet friendly but a little dog-eared”

We often stay at La Quinta Inns because of their pet-friendly policies; we stayed one night at this LQ while traveling to Florida. The staff was friendly and helpful, the price was reasonable, the room was quiet, and the breakfast included with the room was OK. However, our room was worn and in dire need of remodeling; many of the rooms appeared to be in the process of being remodeled, so perhaps this complaint will be solved. Access to the hotel from the I-10 is somewhat difficult, particularly when arriving in the dark. An excellent seafood restaurant recommended by LQ staff was only a few miles north on Highway 63.

the room is unsafe...insulation on the ceiling exposed..mattress soak with i dont know what.counter tops are dirty.

“Good Place to stop and rest”

Stopped here in August 2011.
This Hotel was cheaper than the one on Biloxi.

Little confusion to get to this hotel since you can see it from the Highway but you need to take a secondary road to get there. You need to drive as if you were going to lodge in Deluxe Inn and suites.

Hotel was clean and let our Mini Schanuzer to come with us.
Parking was plenty and I even could park sideways because I was pulling a small trailer. Administrator was nice and allowed me to.

It was a soggy summer night, unbearable to be outdoors, inside was cold and nice.

Free breakfast was little too limited in comparison with options in other "La Quinta" I have lodged in. Well I guess it was OK since this is a small town.

Mini fridge was small but adequate for our kids milk and drinks. TV was average with basic cable.

Room Tip: Call in advance. Use your AAA this hotel was cheaper than the one in Biloxi when I was traveling in...

“CHEAP MOTEL”

Cheap motel, $61 a night. A little worn, friendly staff, free breakfast. Not the greatest motel in the world but it was ok.

“DON'T STAY HERE!”

I love La Quintas b/c I can take my little dog and stay there. But OMG this one was the worst. We were driving from florida back to texas and just got too tired and just stoped at the first la quinta we found which was this hell hole. When we going into the room it smelled icky. Their was a stain on the sink counter top...like someone didn't whipe the counter off. The toliet would not flush...and water did not want to go down the drain in the tub. My husband was exhausted so we stayed. I slept with my clothes on and wore flip flops throughout the room. I will never ever ever go back here again!
