We had been on the road for 8-9 hours...all we did was ask them if they had any rooms....WOW were the rude. I have already contacted the corporate office of this hotel. This may be a nice property and all...but the service is not there. Have some sympathy for us folks who wont have a home when we go back to our town. GEEZ!

Very comfortable and very nicely furnished room. The only drawback was that the room door didn't close tightly, letting in hall noise - (sounds of other doors closing, people talking as they passed by, etc).

This was not a big problem and I was only awakened once during the night (at 3:00 AM) by people coming and going.

It's nicely located and is just one exit up from a very decent regional shopping mall.

Price was a bit high for the area. I stayed the night before in Houston, TX in a comparable room at a Drury Inn & Suites hotel, for about 30% less.

I booked here because the (much more reasonable) La Quinta inn across
the street was full. When you walk in to Holiday Inn Express, the lobby is immediately impressive. Everything is really nicely decorated, new and clean-looking, like it's a really new hotel. I've
stayed in different HIE hotels before, and have always been impressed, so I was prepared for a really great stay. But as I got to
my room, I started noticing little things here and there that gave me the impression that this was an older building that was renovated when HIE moved in. The beds, bathroom, showerhead and furniture were great, but the carpet was really old and smelly. And although we were
staying in a non-smoking room, with a non-smoking sign on the door, there were ashtrays and matches in there, which was weird. And although the room didn't smell like smoke, the hallway did. And there
was no guest directory in my room. This might sound weird, but I like
to read that, as it tells me what amenities the hotel provides. When
I went downstairs to ask for one, they seemed surprised that it wasn't there, but told me I couldn't have another one b/c they were out. Later, I found they forgot to put a laundry bag in my room too. The breakfast (in their awesome lobby) was pretty good, though. The cinnamon rolls were sooo good. It would be better if they added some fruits as well.

Oh, and later on I wanted to get frequent-flyer miles retroactively for this stay, and they wouldn't do it. La Quinta and Marriott (where
I stayed on other days of my trip) DOES let me do this, so shame on you Holiday Inn Express!

If your going NAS Meridian for winging stay here. Out of all hotels in area (Hilton Garden isn't open yet) its the newest, cleanest, best maintained hotel in the area.

Free breakfast is great, they also offer coffee all day, pool is clean, small exercise room is adequate, housekeeping staff is very good. We rented king suite and double room on same floor, the suite was huge and beds in both rooms were comfortable. Fridges (big by hotel standards) and microwaves in both rooms. Free computer use in lobby with printer came in handy for our return airline check-in and boarding passes.
