“A Great Family Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

We came to Louisville to vist family. This is our third stay and have always been pleased. The rooms are aging, but are clean and quiet. Great prices too. The lake is spring fed and clear. You can swim in the lake with waterslides sized for all ages. There are several lifeguards on duty at all times. The paddle boats were also fun and the kids did some fishing from the lakes edge and caught some small fish. (Free without need for a license for guests). My family always feeds us when we are in town, but we did have a wonderful breakfast on the glassed in porch overlooking the lake.

Room Tip: No elevators .

“Good Place for Families or Groups with Kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

Our Church took a group here for a 2 night youth camp. We stayed in several rooms at the motel. It was basic and clean with the usual amenities (coffee pot, small fridge, hair dryer, etc). The price was very reasonable, about $77 total per room per night. The lake is very pretty and peaceful. We had a lake view and we were a very short walk from the dining room. One day we had lunch on the covered patio where you could sit outside and eat while looking at the water. Our group had buffet meals set up and the food was excellent. We were provided with nice meeting rooms for worship and Bible study time that had computer hookup and screen for power points.

There was plenty to keep our youth busy during free time. There is a swim area with water slides, diving boards, and kiddie area open from 9 am to 6 pm in summer. 2-3 life guards were on duty at all times. There are paddle boats, row boats, basketball courts, ping pong tables, tennis courts, and more. Bring your own fishing gear and you can fish from the bank or rent a row boat to go out on the water. There was a nice gazebo and another sitting area where you could look out on the lake.

Recommend this resort for families or groups who want a good place with varied activities that is not too expensive.

“Great little place for family memories to be made”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2011

We hav used this resort for the past several years for our family reunion. The place is great for Adults and Children because of the small "waterpark" they have onsite. the restarurant is clean - and the food is better than one would expect. We have stayed in the motel, - ok - the efficiency - GREAT and this year we were lucky enough to score a cabin - can't wait for August to get here!!!

“Nice place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

We stayed at this resort while on a long road trip. I booked the place because of the price. Our room was large, clean and had a view of the lake. We didn't eat at the resort because the food prices didn't fall within our budget. Overall, a nice, charming place a stay.

“Rude, Rude, Rude”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

We stayed there for a family reunion and have been several years in the past. However, it seems the wait staff has not been properly trained by the owners to be polite while a group is having a morning devotional breakfast prior to leaving. While a 96 year old family member was trying to talk (knowing that she might not be at the next reunion), the wait staff came in to set up tables for another group. A man with our group asked for 5 more minutes and the wait staff argued with him. During the devotional the wait staff continued to collect dishes (rattle, rattle) and hand out bills (whisper, whisper). It was very, very disrespectful. I can only hope that in the future we can find another place to go to. It seems the management booked two events too closely together and did not bother to communicate the problems to the group.
