We stayed for one night recently and we were impressed with the place. It was clean and quiet and had a decent breakfast in the morning. Long Beach is continuing to recover from hurricane Katrina and this hotel is located across the road from the beach in an area being rebuilt.The lady running the breakfast area was very friendly and did a great job. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

We chose this hotel because it was the best option near Gulfport that was located ON the beach. It's a newer hotel with tasteful decor, comfortable beds, good breakfast and pool. The pool is on the beach side of the hotel so you get the benefit of the view. We kept the car at the hotel and just crossed the street to enjoy the beach. Would definitely stay again!

I know this is a fairly new hotel on Long Beach, if not the only, but this HIExpress surpassed ANY we have ever stayed at before, anywhere. Since Katrina's unwanted demolition service, this whole area is returning stronger than ever. May Long Beach continue to stay casino free!
The strongest points: This was a "non smoking" facility, which rocked, as I am allergic. The 6th floor beach/pool/foliage views were no less than spectacular and the king/bath rooms were large enough. The daily room service/linen replacements and hotel/pool cleanliness/smell were better than most I have seen/smelled at higher-end hotel chains. The polite and helpfulness of the manager & staff were a refreshing change as well. Their knowledge of the local surrounding area were very informative, as we were in the area scouting the assortment of places that would hold our Daughter's small wedding reception in the spring. The weaker side: Hot buffet breakfast was good, but could have used a small microwave to reheat the "hot" stuff. The king bed was comfy enough, but the fitted sheets could have been large enough to stay on the bed, during the night, for a more peaceful sleep. A "no smoking" sign is needed in the small pool area. In all, I give this place a 4.85+rating! Thank you HIE, Long Beach, for a wonderful/peaceful 3 day vacation.

I am very fussy about hotel rooms. i don't need bells and whistles but i do need a spotlessly clean hotel and a very comfortable bed. If I don't sleep well, it detracts from my enjoyment of the next day of travel. I rent a hotel room in order to relax and sleep soundly so that I can hit the road or the sites well rested. Holiday Inn Express Long Beach provided that and more. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast - it was a great night's sleep. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel - you won't be disappointed.
