We arrived at the hotel around 11 PM May 18th after flying in from Houston. Gerome gave us keys to room 418. Our first impression from the lobby area was the hotel seemed clean and quiet. We started to enter our room in the dark looking for a light switch when someone spoke in the dark from the bed! OMG - that was a first! We went back down to Gerome and he gave us keys to a room on the first floor with apologies that his supervisor sometimes took a room for the night without letting him know! REALLY!! Our second room reeked of cigarette smoke. As we had a reservation for a Non-Smoking room we went back to see Gerome. He personally walked us to a third room across from the second room on the 1st floor. Okay - it is now around 11:30 PM and we are ready to settle in. Of course for the man of the house this means turning on the TV. Well - we tried!! We moved the cord to different outlets, tried the remote, the power switch. NO TV! Gerome came to the room and he also was unable to get it to work. Rather than switch the TV we were asked to move again. Room #4 was clean and comfortable. We got to bed around mid-night. The breakfast was nice and we headed out for our day. Upon our return we find that we had no housekeeping. The desk explained that they thought we were in a different room! We did receive housekeeping the next day and again breakfast was okay. Our final morning we needed to print our airline boarding passes. Well - the printer didn't work. We were allowed in the office area behind the font desk to print them. Beware - if we ever travel back to MS this will not be our choice!!
