We had a one-bedroom suite at this hotel which we liked in every way except that it is located in a dreary area on the edge of a downtown that has little, if anything, to offer visitors. Highly recommended to those who must be in Jackson for some reason other than sightseeing.

The hotel is located only a few miles from downtown. Staff were very friendly. My king room was on the small side, so I might not want to stay there for an extended period of time. But it was clean with a very comfortable bed and linens. Breakfast was OK; I've had better Hampton Inn breakfasts elsewhere. Parking was free and plentiful. Internet worked but was slow. The lobby and breakfast area were spacious with a lot of space to meet and talk with colleagues, family, etc. They even put a lit candle on each table at night. Clearly, the management takes pride in this place.

We were greeted with water and snacks for our room. Complimentary coffee and tea were in the beautiful lobby. 2 computers were availalbe for use plus free WIFI in the room. Nice accomondations with a wonderful mattress and comforter. Breakfast was good and all staff were professional and friendly.

We stayed here May 15th and 16th, 2009. We choose this hotel because it was close to the Fairgrounds. We were at a barrel race and needed somewhere close so we could rest during the day because the barrel race would be going on till late every night. When we went to the room during the day to rest, there was jackhammering right over our heads. When we called to complian the manager said that they were under construction and there was nothing they could do. They had put us on the 3rd floor and construction was above us. We were NOT told of this construction when we arrived, if they would have had the courtsey to tell us that construction was going on during the day we would have chose a different hotel. It was miserable, you could not even hear the television it was so loud, much less rest. Also the internet did not work in the room, and the rooms were very small. When we checked out and we complained all the manager would do was take on night off our bill. The moral of this story is they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR 100% GUARANTEE....................................
