Stayed here on business. Area surrounding hotel looked a little rough, and security gate makes you think twice about your safety. Lobby has been redone and is very nice, as was evening reception. Room was adequate, but the bed sqeaked and toilet rocked...reported this to front desk. Breakfast was not quite your typical Hampton quality...they ran out and did not restock many items. If I visit Jackson again, I would choose a different property.

Breakfast not great. Fruit was bad. Need a 2nd waffle iron. Clean, updated room. Nice staff. Very nice bathroom, flat screen tv.

I booked through a 3rd party, and when I got there, they told me no less than 3-4 times that I could have gotten a better deal "if a called the hotel". They didn't want to help at all. I thought I booked a suite but got a King room. Free breakfast was terrible. This part of downtown is dead, nothing to do at night. Room was only semi clean. WAY over priced. Bad part of town as well...

This hotel has a long history of crime and auto theft. Upon arrival in late May, I was encouraged that the hotel had finally gotten a security guard with a security vehicle parked prominently in the parking lot at night. I spoke with the guard, discussing a vandalism I'd experienced here previously, and he assured me that I should expect no problems. The night before checkout, I parked my new 2011 F-450 (less than 1000 miles), 30 feet in front of his security vehicle, near the front door of the hotel, and locked/set the security syst. The next morning, the truck was GONE! The hotel has not accepted any responsibility, and their only response was to delete 3 of 7 nights stay from my bill. CRIME IN THIS AREA IS RAMPANT AND HAS BEEN FOR SEVERAL YEARS. BEWARE!!
