I decided to take a few weeks to decide whether or not to leave a review on this location.
With that being said, I decided not to stay at this Inn due to the location. Right across the street from this "INN" are two fully barb wired locations. One is a company of some sorts, and the other is a police station. The surrounding area is what most would call the ghetto - couches on the porches filled with people giving threatening stares.
I hope you get the picture...
Now, the inn keeper was extremely polite when we were booking our reservation. I'm sure she provides people who can get past the apparent ghetto and threatening barbed wire with the best service known to man. However, given the location, I did not feel safe staying at this facility. When we tried to cancel, she mentioned that there was a cancellation provision in the contract, so we were SOL.
Provided that we couldn't get our money back when attempting to find a peaceful resolution with a now extremely hostile inn keeper, I decided to forfeit my $80+ and pay another $100 to stay somewhere else. I'd rather spend $100 to ensure the safety of myself and my belongings any day of the week. Don't stay here, flat out.

Well, yes, I'm in my late 60s and I guess I'm small. My inn is all about blues in Mississippi; people, places, and music. If you want to know about Tommy Johnson from Crystal Springs who penned the song Canned Heat or just want to hear local blues music I can help and give you a place to stay. I've run my inn for nearly 20 years now and have guests from the US and at least nine countries. I enjoy my guests and most hug me when they leave. A few are challenged by my neighborhood but 99% are not. Call if you like to know more about blues!
PS The Johnson family just got the rights for the county to build a road to where their Uncle Tommy is buried on a plantation cemetery. Maybe when you come they will have the marker, originally placed in the library 10 years ago, on Tommy Johnson's grave site.
