I stay at a lot of hotels and especially Hampton Inn. This is by far the worse Hampton I've ever stayed in. The picture listed on the web site is for the newer section which covers only a portion of the property. Most of the hotel is older and really run down. It's pretty apparent this was once something like a Days Inn or some inferior hotel. The breakfast was just ok although the ladies working it were very nice. My room has stuff on the carpet showing it was not vacuumed when I checked in yesterday. It is still there today after room service was here. The door barely shuts and has some serious cold air coming in around it. When I go out I have to fight to get the door shut by pulling down on the door and slamming it. The blinds are really weird and do not close very well. The curtains do not cover the windows so people peeking in can certainly happen. The carpet and room generally feels like something from 20 years ago. I first thought it was just me but it turns out two other colleagues are experiencing the same issues. The 4th one is in the newer section and he says it's better there. The majority of rooms here are accessed outside which is not something you expect from a Hampton Inn. There is construction going on during the day so do not plan on sleeping in.
Never again will I stay here. There is a Hiilton Garden Inn when I come back. I cannot believe Hampton Inn attaches there name to this hotel.
