Alright, I checked in on a Saturday-- started up to my room and the lady at the counter put me in a dirty room- I'm talking about the bed was all messed up, trash in the trash can, just dirty. I walked back downstairs and let her know that it was dirty- she told me she needed to go clean it someone had just checked in and checked out.. I had my 2 year old son with me and he was so ready to go to sleep so instead I had to wait for her to go clean the room. She did say she would change my rate though since I had to wait. Well, when I got back to the room from when she went to "clean it" I went to put my son in the bed and the sheets were wet as they could be. It was like she just took them out of the washing machine and put them on my bed. Anyway-- I was looking at my checking account ummm yeah! I had gotten charged instead of credited the $33.60 she was going to credit me, I was also charged some other charge for $25 for who knows what and when I called the front desk to ask them why I was charged $213.60 instead of the $109 I was told she told me that it should just show up on my account... yeah its still not on my account. UGH... I can tell you one thing, this is the last time I will ever stay there!!!
The room was lovely and quiet and the staff were very helpful. We used a crib and it was more than adequate for the baby.
The walls must have had all insulation removed to help dry the floodwaters, didn't get a wink. You can hear every conversation and toilet trip of neighbors all around. If we hadn't been so horribly tired I'd have asked my husband to move to another hotel, one of us had to rest to drive further. This hotel should have it's affiliation with Marriot revoked.
Arrived with an intent of a 2 night stay with prior reservations made will literally ran away in the dark of night. I am not exaggerating. We had checked in and I noticed the furniture was badly scuffed and completely worn around the corners on the wood and the chairs and sofa colors were faded. We entered the dirty and rickety elevator, I became concerned about maintenance. On our floor we were greated by a shirtless man leaning on the wall and were cut off in the hallway as we approached our room door by a woman trying to get to the ice machine. It was a busy hallway for 11pm. We scrambled into our room and shut the door. It wasn't very clean. It was hot and humid and everything felt wet. As I pulled back the bed spread and sheets, It looked dirty and spotty and I pulled the bottom sheet off and on the mattress pad was red blood stain splatter. Bright red, not old faded brown. It was disgusting....no one changing sheets could miss it sooo gross. We grabbed our belongings and ran. We told the front desk attendent we were leaving and we were told we would still have to pay for the night. I blurted out I don't care. We are not sleeping on dirty blood stained sheets for $109+plus tax. We are leaving. Fairfield by Marriot should be ashamed. A complete dump.
