Rude staff - and what a misnomer! Beach View? Read 'view of the container docks with a four lane highway in between'.
No double glazing, constant noise of blaring train horns throughout the night.
we were given a smoking room, which had a view of the parking lot and a ruined shack on wasteground. however, the front of the hotel looks out on a four lane highway and a dockyard filled with containers, so not much better!
we had the Clampitt family next door who smoked constantly, the kids ran up and down the corridor repeatedly, and tried to wrench open the connecting door. TV blared, and you can hear EVERYTHING!!!
when we asked to be moved we were told, 'no we're full'
NOT THE SORT OF SERVICE WE EXPECTED FROM A BEST WESTERN. -----.

The biggest thing was at the end of our stay they tried to double charge us for the room for two nights. One night's deposit was paid well in advance back in March so upon checkout we were only supposed to pay for the other night, but the management obviously couldn't count or add. I had to argue my case with them at least a half hour before they realize oh, yeah she did pay for one night stay in advance. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON ANOTHER HOTEL.

Typical BW property. Older, but clean. Right across the road from Grand Casino, but it's a healthy walk to get there. Lots of street noise and train noise. It may have had some kind of beach view when it was built in the '50s, but no longer. Given that it's in Gulfport, which isn't exactly the cultural hub of the South, it's an okay property if you can get a good price.
