Weekday stay in Gulfport. Room was big enough for three king beds, huge bath, well appointed. Great value. Smokey casino cannot be avoided is the only drawback.

We have been going a good year or so now to the gulf coast, and i really am impressed with the wonderful attention the island view gives us. My friend gets free room, and sometimes i have also, when that happens we combine them and take a four day vacation! There is alot going on for srs in the area and in all but one casino in biloxi you are a sr if you are 50, thats a plus for me! As my friend is older than i am, lol. Our last trip we walked out to the peir nearby and looked at the ocean, and just enjoyed a sunset. And we played all over the place, but since Island view gives us rooms, we play there alot and we ate there this time on our comps. We had a great sandwich platter for a five am breakfast at the coffee shop, they had sent some comps for any eating place to my friend, so this and two cups of coffee only cost him a buck. Then we ate later on in our stay at the grill there and the hamburger was the best i have ever eaten. I did not even have indigestion, how great is that, its unbelievable but TRUE! I have reflux and take meds but always get repeats on burgers, not this time! It was truly a heavenly burger! Will eat one of their nine dollar burgers again even if i pay for it! They dont carry my fav beers smirnoff but they did have bud light lime and thats good for a beer while i was playing slots. The room was great, i dont think i ever wake up at all from their beds till i am ready to actually get up and go, not true with so many other beds. I have slept at the isle, their beds are bad, the palace was pretty good, and i have not been to any others but the view since we have started going so regular. After all they are the only one sending us free offers, and thats where we will spend most our playing money. Looking forward to all the offers that I imagaine will come in from our last trip in most places we really got to play awhile for our money. Only two were bad for me and that was the palace and hard rock, no real payback this time to keep playing this trip. I played a long time at the island view and lost alot of my trip money, i did not hit anything this trip, but i have and my friend has in the past, so it comes in cycles. I actually had done well at silver star/golden moon before we got to gulfport and spend my winnings from there in the gulf, but at least i had more to spend when i arrived...lol. Lost the last of my money at wind creek on the way home but boy did i get to play the first day, enjoy the pool and room and two meals before i left. So for the 100 i left home with i had a good 1000 playing vacation of this i am sure.

We just returned home from 5 beautiful days on the Gulf. We spent the first two nights at Island View in Gulfport and the last two days at the Isle in Biloxi. We were comped in both places and decided to take advantage of those offers. Well, this is where the similarity ends. The difference between the two places is drastic. I would return to the Island View in Gulfport in a heartbeat...but would seriously think twice about staying at the Isle in Biloxi.

We arrived early but were promptly checked in. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. As a couple who travels frequently let me tell you I know quality when I see it. The bathroom lighting was wonderful...easy to apply makeup and dress. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows. We did have a safe in the room at our request. We saved time, money and inconvenience in the morning because this Casino resort was mindful enough to supply a coffee pot. How great is that? The HD TV, FREE internet access, easy to read clock radio just added to the already great experience. Now I can't say there's a great view to be had but the fact that the we could see the Gulf from our room was a plus. The parking was easy and the elevators conveniently located so we didn't have to drag our luggage through the casino. I also enjoyed the lovely walk to the casino if you parked in the lot across the street or in the back of the casino. They will shuttle you from the lot but who needed that? The weather was fantastic and so was the service.

We were delighted to be comped for a buffet on a Tuesday night and find out crab legs were plentiful and delicious. We also ate at the small grill at the front of the casino and enjoyed a great sandwich. I'll definitely be returning to the Island View.

The energy in the Casino was fun with excellent drink service.

We went to Biloxi last yeard and stayed at the Palace (very nice rooms) after not getting a
room at the Grand Bilox at this particular time, even as Diamond players we could not get a room there. Just by coincidence we talked to a lady from Gulfport and she suggested that we visit the Island View there. Well, we went there and just loved it. After
playing there during that visit we are hooked on the Island View. Since that time we've
been receiving comp. offers and we have been staying there and playing there ever since. We just love it. They are very nice, very accomodating, we always get a room when
we call and we are always happy with the room. The room may not be with the best view,
but it's always clean and we like the people very very much. We have to drive 10 hours
to get there, but we have been back there every month since that first stay, and we'll be going there this month again. We've been to Las Vegas many many times, our Diamond
status at the Grand doesn't matter anymore because we love the View. We've been to
Tunica, Atlantic City etc, but the View is "The Best".
We have met many nice people there, guests and employees.
The only thing that makes us uncomfortable is that about 10:30 pm all of a sudden quite a few weird characters start sworming around and I even had a couple of those ask me
if I'm done with my machine, even though I still was playing it. That is really the only
thing we did not feel good about. But I guess, guests are guests, and you have to go with the flow.
