The motel looked like a former Holiday Inn Express that is slowly going downhill. I stayed here because it looked decent on the outside, but inside was another story. Also, the clerk spoke very little English and refused to offer a Senior Citizen discount.
The lights in the room were missing bulbs in half the fixtures and some of the fixtures were falling off the wall. The room was clean for the most part, but the carpet had a lot of stains. The electrical outlets were missing coverplates and the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work.
The door had a working deadbolt, but the chain was broken. The air-conditioning/heater was missing the knob to adjust the thermostat, so I used the on-off knob to make the adjustments.
There was a drinking water faucet in the bathroom, but the bath towels were small and thin and there was no washcloth, plus the wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls.. I called the desk about the missing wash cloth, but the lady who answered the phone didn't seem to understand what I was asking.
The bed pillows were decent, though the bed was a bit lumpy. Breakfast in the morning consisted of 2 kinds of pre-sweetend cereal and coffee. There was a toaster in the breakfast bar, but no bread.
The room was quiet.. I'll give them that much, but the air purification unit didn't work. I really should have gone elsewhere, but I was too tired.
