I went in expecting it to be minimally acceptable (decent neighborhood, no unidentifiable bed stains, cockroaches, or worse), I stayed one night, and it was fine.
I got a room on the inside courtyard, so no road noise. Continental breakfast was pretty good. Although a previous reviewer said it's not convenient to restaurants (relatively true), basically everything in Greenville is less than 10 minutes away, so it wasn't a big deal.
My room was fairly clean, but seemed to be falling apart a bit. Both the shower head and the sink faucet were coming out of there placements (worked fine), the bath rug was essentially threadbare, and when I used the iron, really gross water came out of it (looked kind of like coffee grounds) -- I was glad I wasn't holding it over my white shirt for the next day's job interview!
For staying one night like I did, it was fine. The bed was quite comfortable, which was *my* highest priority! I would stay there again. Locals recommended the Regency hotel or Hampton Inn, if you want something better (they were out of my price range).
