We stayed here in early December 2011. Usually stay in Holiday Inn Express but there is not one in Columbus, MS.
Parking--Very, very sketchy. Nothing was done to my car however if you don't get there early enough and park in the hotel parking 'side lot,' you will be parking in vacant lots and spots that do not look safe.
Check In--very smooth.
Room--when I walked in the room, it reminded me of hotel rooms we used to stay in when I was a trainer for a SEC school. It was big enough to house a team and the rooms had that feel to them. Was told that visiting schools do stay there when they play Missississippi State. Our room had not been renovated but there was a flat screen tv in it. The rooms had a late 80's feel to them. BIG gap between the floor and the door. Didn't see much mold and our sheets were clean and crisp.
There is a club that is connected to the hotel that is loud as you are approaching the hotel fromt door(s). Once though you get inside the hotel, you don't hear the noise. There is a bar that is part of the hotel that is ok.
Priority Club members (gold/platinum) DO NOT get a free breakfast. There is a gas station next door to the hotel that has a doughnut shop that is pretty good and there is a Waffle House just about right outside the door too.
