Checked in for 5 nights in August 2010. Was booked in a double room, but the front desk took care of putting me in a King with no problems.

Typical Hampton Inn in terms of rooms. The room had a ceiling fan though, that is a first for me in a Hampton. TV is hi-def, but only has 2 hi-def channels. Desk is decent, chair is way too short for any real work.

Wifi is very very slow in the evenings. They seriously need to upgrade their router/internet connection. The wired connection was equally slow, so its not their "wireless" but their outbound connection to the world.

Breakfast was typical Hampton with Waffles. They had a managers reception everynight with free beer/soda and chicken fingers/wings/meatballs or pizza from 5pm-7pm. A pleasant surprise for a Hampton.

Front desk staff were very friendly, and said hello everytime you walked by the front desk. Decent outdoor pool.

Overall, a decent property. If they upgraded the internet service to the hotel it would be one of the best in the HI chain.

The Hampton Inn was the second hotel of my four night trip across Mississippi. When we walked into the lobby I knew exactly why brand standards were put into place and followed so closely. I knew what we were walking into and what to expect...all very good things. We entered into a trendy and modern lobby and were greated by Josh, the very helpful front desk agent. He got us checked in and informed us of a new Managers Reception that would be going on in the next room for a few more minutes. (Regretably, we didn't make it over there but it smelled good.) During conversation Josh told us that the property was about 10 years old and the rooms had just been redone. He said that they bathrooms were the next big project. When we got upstairs to our rooms we were all pleasantly surprised. The room was large and very spacious with modern furnishngs, a comfy king bed, huge flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator...and a CEILING FAN! Hotels don't have ceiling fans...this was a wonderful surprise! Josh was right, the bathroom did need a little work. It wasn't bad or dirty or broken...it just needed to be brought up to an even playing field with the guest room. Overall, it was a great hotel and I would definately return if I found myself in that area again.

Service was excellent, the room was newly upgraded with a flat screen tv and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! Location was perfect, close to the metro area, and the pool was a plus.

Decent motel, but very smoky. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are on the same floor. Thus, when you get off the elevator, the hallway reeks of 2nd-hand smoke. This is something that is not expected in most other parts of the country. Overall, the breakfast area was clean and well-stocked. The property is relatively clean and easy access to the Interstate and local shopping and restaurants. They just need to work on getting the hotel designated a smoke-free business.
