Over priced motel in fair shape. Newer appearing motel but the rooms were beat up. Light out, no trash can in room, smoke detector beeped all night. Noisey. I'll find somewhere else when staying in Cleveland

Where shall I start ...... I reserved a non-smoking room and the unaccomodating front desk person, as rude and unhelpful as she could be, told us we had to take a smoking room..... Although, another young lady we spoke to prior to her told us something totally different over the phone....

When we entered the room, it smelled like a tobacco factory.... not to mention the dirty towels we found hanging in the bathroom that greeted us as we entered..... I guess someone took a quick shower or at least washed his/her face prior to us entering the room.

They charged my debit card not once, not twice, but 3 times! When I called to inquire, they were only able to find 1 charge. How convenient! Chase bank is doing all they can to assist me with this matter.

Don't even think you will be afforded the opportunity to speak with the manager or the owner..... NOT!!!! They are conveniently never available to provide assistance..... I guess they are tooooooo busy to ensure guests receive excellent customer service. I was also told by a staff person that the owner owns at least 3 of the hotels in this small town. Poor townspeople! It's a monopoly.....

Choice Hotels tried to appease me with some sort of credit..... I don't intend to ever stay in a Choice Hotel chain again..... It's not worth the stress and agrivation..... They blamed everything on my bank and the travel agency.....

Do yourself a favor - DO NOT stay at the Comfort Inn or Econolodge in Cleveland, MS!

The Econolodge is another story - can you imagine it gets worse! There was blood on the mattress there.... but that's another story.......

Asked for a non-smoking room...NOT! not only was it a smoking room, but there was a huge dent in the wall like somebodies head or something had hit it. The lady at the desk wasn't any help. Used a bottle of Febreeze to knock down the smell. Couldn't move to another hotel...everything else was booked. Guess we got what we payed for...

My extended family and I were in town for a funeral. We all reserved our rooms over the internet. Most of us reserved 2 queen beds because our families were with us. Unfortunately, they placed almost all of us in a king room with 1 bed. My husband and I were forced to sleep in one bed with our 7 and 11 year old daughters. We will never go back. There was also only one staff on duty to cover the desk as well as any other calls from the guest. The service and breakfast was poor. The staff had to call the manager at home when problems arise. I will never utilize this hotel again. The small savings in room rate wasn't worth it. I would certainly say pay an extra 15 dollars a night and stay at the Holiday Inn Express across the street.
