“Budget Clean”

I stayed here in May, and I must say that it wasn't at all like what I just was reading on the place. Can't please everyone I supose. The room was okay, you could tell that the property was older and that they were trying to do something with it- or as much as you can to an old place. The room was clean and the price was right, that's all I care about.

“Unprofessional”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2009

Let's just start by saying I was traveling for a bike race...so, I requested a lower level room, non-smoking, quiet location away from others. We get there...longest check-in every 15min and no one was in front of us..., we are told someone has our room (btw, my reservations were under my 1st name..not last) re-assigned a room..guess what (smoking room)...go back down, start over...this time 2nd floor..we accept it. Around midnight, we hear people outsider our door..I tell em' quiet...1hr later, same thing more, with beer...call the front desk, they acted like..oh well...long story short...pay extra go elsewhere..sorry, but this was not a great experience.

I'm very sorry for your experience, we host the bike relay every year. Unfortunately, this year it was on the night of prom and a room away from everyone was not possible due to being sold out. I understand the noise. We did all we could to try to control the noise but it was at no avail. After dispatching the local police for help with little control, I stood at the front walk from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. sending unregistered guest from the property to then having them cross over the lawn from the neighboring motel. Your check in, was unacceptable to me as well. We have since that time gained more capable desk help. I do again apologize, and hope that you will let us make it up to you in the future.

“New Manager with New Management Company”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2009

My husband and I travel through the area about twice a year and had stayed here before and swore that we would NEVER again. But as we exited we noticed that the place had a major facelift. My husband liked the price listed on the display, so we said we would take a look at the rooms then make our decision. This is not the same place that we had stayed a few year back. The rooms were renovated, the rates had been lowered, and the new manager... she was very nice, understanding, and AMERICAN! The rooms were clean and the lobby was wonderful with the glass breakfast area. We will be staying here everytrip.

“Episode of Cops at Lincoln Inn”

I was visiting family for the new year. We left Virginia on New Years Eve and got to Brookhaven at 3ish in the morning. After checking in the room we were given was on the back side of the motel. Young people were hanging out in the parking lot. It was New Years and we thought they were celebrating with the drinking and partying going on in the parking lot and outside motel rooms. That night of January first the same thing, young people hanging out in the parking lot and around the motel rooms. We got to sleep around midnight. ALL of a sudden at 330 in the morning there was fighting outside our motel room.
A group of 5 men beating on this one guy. We called the front desk to wake up the clerk. Ten minutes later no COPS. The men were still beating this guy up right outside our motel room. All against our window, door , cursing, fighting and the motel front looked like it was caving in on us. We called the front desk AGAIN ! The COPS came after 15 minutes of us laying on the floor fearing for our lives. Thank GOD they did not have GUNS. I would not be able to write this review..... The guy at the front desk would not refund our money, take a compliant or apologize for the people who made us run for our lives at 5am... ! ! !

  • Liked — Easy Highway access
  • Disliked — The young people hanging out in the motel parking lot and around the rooms.NO SECURITY..

“AVOID at all costs! (I'm not kidding!)”

This hotel is VERY outdated and VERY poorly maintained. The door handle was missing on both doors going into the office. In fact, the door handle was missing both on the outside of the door and the inside of the door. You had to open the door with the lock knob on the door. This should have been a clue for the person who reserved the room for us. When we arrived to register at the hotel the front desk clerk was counting coins in the till so we didn't interrupt her. She acknowledged our presence but when she finished counting the dimes she started counting the quarters and then proceeded on to the bills. You get the idea!! The pool was something that you wouldn't dare let your children swim in. It was obvious that it hadn't been properly cared for. The room itself was fair size but the carpet in the room had spots that were sticky from who knows what. The bathroom was the smallest that I have ever seen and was in VERY poor repair.
