“rooms at treasure bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

we booked a gulf view room with a king bed, we got up to our room and it overlooked the back yard which is not that attractive..went back down to the desk and they changed it to a gulf view as originally promised. the room itself was very clean and the bed..oh that bed..it is the best in the world...i am going to have to call treasure bay and ask them again what the bed brand is ..we stayed right after it was built after katrina struck and it is still a very clean room and the staff is still as nice..i will continue to stay at TB. the crab dinner was again, the best in biloxi. thanks TB...we will be back. :)

Room Tip: get the gulf view.....

Thank you for your recent review of our property. I’m pleased that you enjoyed your stay. My apologies for you not originally receiving your room type, but I am glad that the issue was corrected. During cooler weather months most of our guests enjoy the view of the Gulf of Mexico, but during the summer months many guests desire the view of the pool and the guests who are sunning themselves by the pool. Thank you also for the compliment on the bedding; I’m glad you enjoyed a good night’s sleep. I appreciate you detailing the more noteworthy parts of your trip and hope that you’ll stay with us again soon.

“Very Nice.....except for the Train!”

Me and my wife had a one night stay here.

Check in was quick and the front desk personell were very polite. I did not find the Lobby to be very "smoky". Our room was on the 6th floor room 620 and was very nice. It was very clean and had just about everything. Nice flat screen, nice lighting throughout and contemporary decor.

The Bathroom had a large walk in shower which was very nice, the only problem was that the steam was horrible without any vent and they only left us 2 washrags.......4 should be the minimum, and they also didn't have a shower cap for the wife.

Onto the Train, if you are a light sleeper you may want to get a room on the beach side as opposed to the pool side. The Train along with its whistle passes thoughout the night and woke me up 5 times.

Room Tip: If you stay in the Tower try to get an Odd numbered room if you dont want to hear the train, the onl...

Thank you for your recent review of our property. I am glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the compliments concerning the room amenities and lack of smoke in the lobby (we have exerted considerable effort to reduce the amount of smoke). Please accept my sincere apologies for not having enough washcloths; I’ll pass this information along to our Hotel Management Team. Also, I regret that you were woken by the train, like many of the hotel and casino properties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the trains pass within a half mile of us. Please accept our greatest appreciation to you for detailing the issues that you had during your stay rather than making blanket derogatory statement about our product. All too often reviewers will make comments that have no value in correcting any issue; we (and all other hotel operators) appreciate you for providing detailed information (positive or negative) concerning your stay. I hope that you will consider staying with us again with a room facing the Gulf rather than the pool.

“Average casino experience not so average hotel stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012 via mobile

Upon our check in I found the woman very unfriendly and not a resort oriented employee. The room was well designed however the hot tub was very small however we did enjoy the view, next time will request a balcony. The down fall is we received little to no sleep due to our room being next to the elevators we heard the thump of the elevator going up and down all night. The food was below satifactory for the den twenty four hour resturant and liked the buffet less. The casino is very smoky and small with older machines, the payouts are fair as expected. Overall if when we are ready for the next night out we are not likely to return and will choose a different resortexperience.

Thank you for your recent appraisal of our property. I regret that you did not enjoy your experience here. I’ll pass your concerns along to each department. I am somewhat shocked that you neither enjoyed the Den or infinity buffet, both have received above average compliments as of late. I hope that your next visit to the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast will be more enjoyable regardless of the property you visit.

“"Great"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

My husband & I stayed a week and were very pleased with our accommodations. We stayed in the Tower overlooking the Gulf. The room was spotless, beds very comfortable. I think they do an excellent job in making sure your stay is pleasant. Loved the TV in the bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful. Very clean. The casino gave us three nights on them, so we only paid for four. Was very inexpensive for us. Anywhere else would have cost us at least $100.00 a night. Would definitely return. Loved it.

Room Tip: Call the hotel directly. I think you will get a better deal.

Thank you for your recent review of our property. I am very thankful that you enjoyed your stay. We sincerely appreciate all of the positive comments. It’s heartwarming to hear such accolades, but mostly we appreciate you detailing the amenities or attributes that you liked most; such a well written review is much more helpful to future travelers and hotel operators than making generalized statements. We look forward to a future visit!

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

After spending most of 2011 living in hotels I have become picky. I am sure there are larger words, but over time one begins to notice the little things, both bad and good.

I did not read any reviews, but just stopped while driving. The critical remarks in other reviews as to the smoke smell are somewhat correct in the lobby and casino area, but I could not smell smoke at all in the room.

The check-in process was quick and the price fair. I have to applaud this hotel for not try to play the nickel and dime game with lots of extra charges for WIFI, parking and “resort fee”. I realize that some MBA has calculated how much these charges can generate- but mostly they generate quiet irritation from most travelers.

It seems there are two different types of bathrooms with either a shower or “deep tub”. I elected the deep tub… and well, it is a tub and deeper, but really really short. I don’t think an adult could lay prone in the tub. I would also think that older customers might have difficulty exiting the tub as there was no handhold or rails. One last word on the bathroom- the towels were not the little postage stamps provided by some hotels, but good size. The bathroom gets thumbs up.

The room was very clean and the bed great. Maybe it was the night or luck but there was not a single noise all night. Late checkout was not a problem with the front desk.

I did visit the casino and like all casinos – the smoke hung in the air and a number of the slot players appeared catatonic. Did you expect something else?
