I initially had a difficult time booking at this hotel as I was told they didn't give AAA discount. This was incorrect and was remedied (you can read the entire story here: http://blog.havekidwilltravel.com/2008/05/27/hotel-booking-if-something-doesnt-seem-right-it-probably-isnt.aspx.) Thankfully the situation was handled very well by the manager, assuring our booking.
This hotel has two floors, the second easily accessible by elevator just opposite the check-in. We had a two room suite.
The suite itself was quite large and roomy with one bed in a separate room and a pull-out couch. It also had a dining table and a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and the ladies working in the breakfast lounge were wonderful to help me manage food and two little girls.
My single favorite thing about Holiday Inn Express hotels is the breakfast included with your stay. And this location was above average. The weekend breakfast included: biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, hot cinnamon rolls, cereals, breads, fruit, yogurt, breakfast bars, milk, juice, coffee and tea. The hot items were hot, the cold items were cold and everything was laid out neatly with easy access. You can eat in the open breakfast room or take a tray up to your room.
Wireless internet is available and easy to connect to; there is a pool and exercise room on the main level.
