“Lovely stay!!”

I loved this property, everyone was extremely friendly, everything was clean and in great shape. As an employee for 21 years at another hotel in the Minneapolis area, I will say that we also have the rule sheet for sports teams and groups. We also do not allow the sports equipment to the rooms as they beat up the walls and furniture with hockey sticks, hit hockey pucks down the halls (which can hit and injure other guests) or dribble and bounce balls disturbing people in the rooms below them. The adults hanging out (partying, drinking and being loud) out in the breakfast area and the hallways disturb other guests that are not traveling with the group or team. The Assistant Manager was doing his job and trying to make the hotel an enjoyable place for everyone, When staying in a hotel you need to be respectful of all guests not just your group or team!!

“never again”

If you are looking for a place to stay with a group and children this is NOT the place. Upon arrival you will be given a one page list of "rules" including a curfew of 10pm.This was strictly enforced by the asst manager who was less than hospitableand complaints are to numerous to mention. We were not able to use the breakfast area to gather, no sports equipment allowed in the rooms and no standing in the hallways for adult conversation. RIDICULOUS and never again for our group!!

“Clean, quiet and friendly, but nothing spectacular for the price.”

I stayed here on business prior to a conference in St. Paul. Room rates were cheaper here than in St. Paul proper, but still a little steep for what I got at $109 IMO.

This is a smaller property, which was fine for me as a solo traveler. The lobby/breakfast area is relatively small and all in the same room. There is a pool/fitness area that I didn't use, so can't comment. This Hampton is off the freeway but far enough away where traffic noise wasn't much of an issue. There are some casual/fast food dining and shopping options within a 5 minute drive.

Check in was friendly and efficient, but I was a little disappointed when I got to my King room on the 3rd floor. I saw other traveler photos with a nice flat screen TV, but mine had an old Zenith?? The room was also on the small side...there wasn't even enough room for the ottoman in front of my armchair! Also, unlike another Twin Cities metro Hampton I've stayed at, this room did not come with a fridge or microwave; nor were there any onsite/adjacent dining/drinking options (other than the standard continental breakfast in the morning.) These are not deal breakers, but I would expect the price to be adjusted accordingly. Overall, the feeling was better than that of a budget class hotel, but a little lacking when compared to other business class hotels.

On the plus side, Hampton does offer high speed Internet for free, unlike the other Hilton family hotels. The employess I encountered were friendly and professional. If the price were right, I would stay here again on business, but probably not for pleasure.

“Friendly staff, comfortable room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2009

The room we booked near the Mall of America fell through and we needed a same day room for three nights on a weekend, we were lucky to get a room at this Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the standard continental fare. There is a shopping center nearby with a Target and restaurants and the hotel is close to the freeway. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

“Great place to stay”

The rooms are very nice. Spacious and lot of night. Front desk and Housekeeping is very friendly and accomodative. The free continental breakfast is an ideal start to the day.
