To start, this hotel was described to us as being close to downtown - it is anything but for travelers with no mode of transportation. The hotel offered to take us downtown via shuttle which was nice - but then left us downtown stranded, at night, in a thunderstorm. Despite numerous calls to the hotel (they said to simply call for pick-up!) it took them over an hour to come and get us - and we even called in advance.
Also, beware of the elevators! They apparently like to "sleep" according to the maintenance man. In truth, it seems that they barely function. With this size of a hotel, 3 would seem to barely suffice - yet, only 1 elevator ever seemed to actually work and even then it was slow....! Lines would be waiting for it. Took the stairs often - at least we got a workout! Vending machines were routinely out of drinks, and the restaurant closes at 9:30 for breakfast - we didn't know that, and were pretty hungry - there is NOTHING around this hotel either, except for highway. You can't just pop out and grab something, again, unless you have a car. And, unlike other Holiday Inns that I have stayed in, they didn't even have such niceties as a basket of apples at the desk that you could grab in a pinch. I am telling you, it's the little things....
Anyway, the internet was also slow, slow, slow, and when it would storm, the TV wouldn't even work. I have never experienced that, and I travel quite a bit.
Positives? The rooms were clean and the beds were fairly comfortable.
Nonetheless, I would never, ever, stay at this hotel again.
