We were upgraded to an executive King room and it was beatiful. We had a reservation at a different hotel for our second night but cancelled it when we saw this room. The breakfast was fine with waffles, bagels etc as well as Jimmy Dean sandiwches and fresh fruit. We were concerned about the noise from 35W but it was not an issue. The shopping and restaurants were a miles away so the location was perfect for us.
We will be back!!!!!!

We are a Marriott family, so we always take advantage of Friends & Family or Associate rates. We had a wedding to attend in Minneapolis this weekend, and the family was staying at the Millenium for $129 a night...a beautiful hotel, but not necessary for our purposes...we just needed a place to sleep, especially since we were renting a car. This Fairfield is modern and very comfortable. It is in an industrial park, so don't look for anything within walking distance. We drove back and forth to Minneapolis and the Mall of America at least twice a day, and it was no problem! We had our Garmin, and everything was easy to get to. We even worked out at an LA Fitness 2 miles from the hotel! the continental breakfast is nothing exciting, but it is FREE, so no complaints there. We saved $80 a night. Is.pet likes baby every night. Only one complaint...on Sunday, due to rain, we were in and out of the room, and the housekeepers never made it up. They did leave a note to ask if we needed fresh towels, etc., but I think they had adequate time to freshen the room. All in all, a GREAT value!

I've stayed now three times at this hotel. The stay really depends on the room you get and the potential noise from neighboring rooms. I didn't notice the walls being thin but on my last stay, the next room was blasting their TV late and interrupted by sleep. Likewise this room had a noisy heater. I should have contacted the front desk about the heater so that is my error. Other rooms have been just fine. I recommend the larger room if you can get them.

First of all, if you do go, request a room on the parking lot side. Noisy freeway on the other. Prepare to eat elsewhere. Not near enough room in breakfast area.

Other than that, typical Fairfield Inn.
