I go to Rochester frequently on business and this is one of my favoriate places to stay. Nothing fancy, but for a price point under $100/night it is good. Very nice size room and a nice size bathroom.

The breakfast room is pretty sterile, kind of like a school cafeteria However, the food is very good, much better than average for a place like this.

After a grueling drive through ice and snow, my nerves were frayed -- and frankly, I wasn't in the best of moods. I walked through the door of this hotel and my bad mood was replaced by a feeling of comfort and relaxation.

The clerk was friendly, and my room was spacious, clean and quiet. I ordered a pizza, bought some good beer and chilled out in front of the TV. The bed was comfy with extra feather pillows, so I had a great night's sleep.

The next day I had to drive to Mayo, and the weather was bad, so I was nervous. Jen Hanson, the Operations Manager, was so nice. Her kind words and excellent directions helped me avoid an icy ramp and get to my appointment on time.

All in all, my experience at TownePlace Suites was excellent. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed with family. We had 4 rooms in the same area. We could hear every word in the rooms next to us. We could hear conversations in the hall from people on the rooms. We could hear word for word. No privacy!!!

I stayed at this hotel about 20 times per year for the last couple of years. I travel to Rochester, MN for business regularly and they know my name at the hotel. The staff is very helpful and the accomodations are very good. The rooms have consistenly been cleaned for me and everything is good order. I liked that the rooms have a DVD player that I can use as needed. The gym is small but I prefer to go outside and run in the nice trails around the area. Because there is a great kid's pool in the hotel, some weekends the hotel has more noise than I like, but a simple request to the staff and they have moved me to the quietest rooms ( away from elevators and lower floors). I recommend the hotel and its staff to anyone looking for a hotel to rest after a hard working day
