“STAY AWAY”

This hotel was HORRIBLE. Our sheets were dirty, there were hairs all over them and they obviously had been slept in. I got new sheets and changed them because only one person was working. There were sticky drink spots all over the table. The refrigerator smelled horrendous. There were several dried shampoo spots on the tub. The deck had rusty nails sticking up from the deck boards. My daughter found what appeared to be a "dried booger" on the wall above the bed. The biggest towels they had were hand towel sized. You had to grab bread out of the bread bag (no tongs) if you wanted toast. DO NOT stay here if travelling with a family. I would definitely pay the extra money and go down the street. We were at a dance competition and several families stayed at the Hampton and had a great experience!

This hotel was absolutely horrible ... do NOT stay here, it is worth spending the extra money and staying up the street. The furniture was falling apart, the hallways were like jail cells, the pool was tiny, the beds were terrible, and the hotel was 'scary' in general. Not a safe hotel to stay in and very very dirty. The parking lot was nearly empty upon our arrival - that should have been our first clue! I would definitely recommend avoiding this hotel and finding another.

“DONT STAY IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2011

Me and my 18 month old son stayed here for a night because my son has health issues so he had an apt with the mayo clinic. I promise you that is the reason i was here not to annoy the neighbor. My son cried for oh about a minute tops when i put him in his bed at 945pm and fell asleep shortly after. I received a call at 10pm telling me that my neighbor called to make a noise complaint because my child was crying.... AFTER HE HAD STOPPED CRYING AND WAS ASLEEP!!!!! This phone call had woke up my child and geuss what, he started crying again. After this phone call it took my another half hour to forty five minutes to get him back to sleep. They saw when i walked in that i had a toddler with me. They should have at that point given me a room that was off my myself so i wouldn't disturb anyone but instead they gave me and my son an a joining room to someone else. I have never in my life been sooo offended by the discrimination that me and my son recieved. Anyone who has had children or babysat for that matter know that children will cry because they are in an unfamiliar place. Comman sense!!!
Oh and did i mention that the ac didn't work, the hallways smelled awful, and the carpet in my room was incredibly sticky.
It was an awful stay and i will never ever ever stay here or let my friends stay here ever.

“STAY AWAY”

My husband and I stay in alot of Super 8 motels because most of them have truck parking, but I was tempted to sleep in my truck in the parking lot this time. The building is layed out like a rat maze and the halls were so dirty I was suprised I didn't come across the rat while I was wandering around trying to find my room. This is a pet friendly hotel and the halls reaked of dog crap and I assume the huge stains on the carpet were from the same source. The elevator floor was also filthy.
Lack of a cheaper smoking room forced us into what they called a "Queen Suite" but a kitchen sink that spits out high pressure squirts of dirty water, a warm fridge, and a dirty microwave hardly qualifies as a suite in my book.
Other than the dirty carpet the room was fairly clean and the bed linens were ok.
The indoor pool was right off the lobby but it was very small. The hot tub was empty and full of ladders and tools.
The breakfast was the usual stuff and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. There was also 24 hr. coffee in the lobby.
The staff was very nice even if they did give me wrong directions to my room.
Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10.00 and stay up the street.

“Cost of night way overpriced for what experience!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2009

I really wish I had not wasted my time staying at this hotel. Everything that could be wrong with this hotel was. Sheets were dirty, the floor wasn't vacuumed, the bathroom was dirty, the heat didn't work, the front desk staff wasn't able to really assist with much. The night clerk spent her time on her cell phone. The only good experience was the donuts in the morning. However with paying a rate of $80 for a motel that should have been the rate of $39.99 I could have taken my business guests out for a coffee and a scone at a near by Starbucks!
