You said that your pet became uncomfortable in the room after 20 minutes however our records indicate you were in the room for 2 hours. Is it possible the pet was uncomfortable because the pet was in new surroundings and not in their usual realm?
Records indicate that you booked through a third party site. The credit card on file with your reservation is a third party credit card and not your personal credit card so the hotel was unable to assist you with a discount which we would have gladly done at that time. This occurs anytime you book through a third party sites such as Expedia, Hotel.com, or Hotwire with any hotel or lodging place.
We understand your disappointment and would like to offer these suggestions when booking a hotel room. Often if you need special requirements you should contact the hotel directly. Those requirements might include pet friendly rooms or lower level rooms. It is also recommended that you book directly with the hotel because often third party websites try to give the guest the lowest possible rate available and that might be a smoking room. Many times offers are given by third party sites that are also non-cancellable and non-refundable. When a guests books through third party websites the hotel isn’t given any information about the guest except for their name.
Third-party websites are a wonderful option for those travelers who want to get the lowest rates and do not care the room type. Please remember when booking for 2 adults it doesn’t always mean you will get to separate beds or if booking for non-smoking that isn’t guaranteed either. It is always best to contact the hotel directly if you have special needs.

We apologize for your inconvenience. Super 8 in Red Wing is a pet friendly hotel and appreciate when guest declare their pets. We charge a minimal fee of $7 per pet per night. Other hotels are known to charge $10 to $25 per night per pet. Our hotel has just recently installed carpet throughout all hallways and our rooms have carpet that is only a year old along with new beds (Simmons beauty rest mattresses) and bedspreads. We strive to make our guests stay clean and comfortable. We are sorry that your experience wasn’t as such.
