I was a little worried, after reading the reviews, but booked anyway - location, location, location - and had a very pleasant stay. The room reminded me of the motor hotels of my youth. Our room was clean and compact, with wifi, a fridge, microwave in addition to the usual hotel appliances. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet night - no kids running the halls.

Glad I took the chance!

I've stayed in HOSTELS nicer than this place. The TV, fridge, microwave, AND coffeemaker in the room were all broken. The bathroom door wouldn't close all of the way, and the carpets and beds were really dirty.

Please, please believe the other bad reviews! I didn't think a national chain could be this bad, and we were desperate with late reservations... This room is falling apart, they gave us a smoking room, and it's not clean (hairs in supposedly clean bedding, filthy carpet)! I've traveled extensively in many other countries and this room is not even on par with some of the worst places we've been! Wow!

If we wouldn't have been traveling with a pet I wouldn't have stayed in the first place, after staying I will try harder to find another pet friendly place if I am in Red Wing. Neds an update badly, remote on TV didn't work even after I wet to the front desk, microwave wokes us up in the middle of the night beeping and then had to wake the front desk/manager up when breakfast wasn't ready still at 6:30 when it was supposed to be ready at 6. Not a very nice place especillay for what they charge.
